The traditional board of monopoly still remains everywhere. If you haven't got one then you need to know what you're missing.

The game of money grabbing mayhem and bankruptcy still manages to stand tall on the ladder of board games today.

The aim of this quite intense battle for capitalism is to basically be the one standing proud with the most money at the end, that's once you've absolutely wiped everyone else out of every penny they had. It's a blood thirsty game for all future power people. Your task is to obtain properties for others to land on resulting in them paying you.

The board is made up of different streets of London each differing in value. Therefore the increase in price and value increases the amount you gain when someone lands on your property. The rent that has to be payed when someone lands on someone else's property also increases if the owner happens to have all the streets of that certain colour.

Once a whole street is owned houses can then be bought, then whenfour houses have been placed on each street a hotel may be purchased to replace the houses. Houses increase the rent of that street but if you can get hotels do it and depending which street you have you can start to drain the other players for everything they own.

This money-thirsty game can be quite lengthy so don't expect to finish in half an hour. It won't happen!!! A banker also needs to be chosen but watch out because it's easy to cheat to just slip a few hundreds into your plie of money.

Well enjoy the game and bankrupt who you can. There are also other versions of the game like a football version and a starwars version for all you spacy characters. The game can also be played on many computer formats also.
