Advantages: A family game, Classic

Disadvantages: Takes ages

Wow i love this game, i think it's great. but i don't belive that i have ever finished a game. People alway's get bored in my house, the games that i play normally end in conflict over supected cheating. But apart from that i think the content of the game is brilliant, it's all about power!

With all the limited iddition boards that have been bought out such as Starwars, cricket, regional-Yorkshire oh and others boards such as Football.

I think that this game represents a classic game that has last long and strong through the ages. I that i feel will last just as long for many years to follow.

In this day and age games are much more popular with kids on their PC's, Playstations, etc.

But i feel that by playing a tradittional board game helps to build skills which computers can't alway's provide, eg Converstation, interaction and sociall skills. I also feel that the game helps children to be aware of money-they have to save up, manage their money to buy the houses/hotels that they need for their property.

So next time your board (mind the punn) have a game of Monopoly!

Enjoy.

Love the game too, has caused many a fight in our gaff! Sorry for the low rating but there needed to be a bit more info, maybe dates and a bit more about the history because I think it's quite an interesting one, in particular the fact that was is commonly credited as the first version was apparently ripped off another little known game. Also bit more about how it's played, how is about power? If that sounds a little obvious you must assume people don't already know everything about Monopoly.

I think playing traditional games is often more fun than online ones too! Our current favourites are Connect 4 and threes and fives with dominoes. :)
