Mr Pop is one of those games from my childhood that holds mythical status, when really it's quite a simple albeit enjoyable game. You are presented with a plastic face, around the size of a child's head. It is bereft of features such as eyes, nose, mouth etc. You pick a card which shows you the face you have to make, and you then push the face back. From a selection of pieces (random noses, eyes etc) you then have to put the right pieces onto the face to match the card you have, all before the timer runs out and the face pops forwards and knocks your pieces off.

At its best, this is an exciting game with that scary element of 'when will it pop'. This adds the element of fear to it, and it will make kids jump when the face pops. If you like this sort of thing, try Buckaroo too.

At its worst, there are just too many pieces to lose. When you lose one or two, it becomes impossible to complete all the cards, which in turn means you can't really play it properly. It's a shame, but you can pretty much guarantee you will lose a few of the bits.

All in all, this is a fun game but one that is destined to be unusable as you lose a piece or two.
