DavyMichelle Build a Beetle: ... a Beetle is a brilliant boad game for families with young kids. I bet it s especially useful for families with more than one under five, thanks to how simple it is to learn to play. It s made by Chad Valley, and is available from Argos for only £5.99. I think that s a bargain buy for keeping the kids happy on a Sunday afternoon, and it would be a great idea for Christmas too. The aim of the game is simply t...

sttb1997 Buckaroo!
... is a fantastic game for children of all ages! My 3 year old son loves playing it with both his friends and parents. The game involves a mule which needs to be laden down with items such as a lantern, a hat and a rope. You gently place the items onto his saddle and try to avoid him bucking and throwing all the items off. The game is fast paced, fun and easy to understand. It only takes a few minutes which makes it ideal for busy families or a quick game before bedtime. It isn t very sensitive to weight which makes it ideal for a 3 year old, but older children may find it fairly boring as it is very easy to place all of the items onto the saddle without h...

... is a very simple game that people of all ages can play. The gist of the game is that you pile up solid bricks of wood until they form a tower -three bricks per layer. Each player then takes his turn to pull out just one of the bricks without knocking any of the others off. If successful, that player then places the brick on top of the tower and, over time, the tower gets taller but weaker making it more and more difficult to successfully remove a brick. You re only allowed to use one hand on each turn which does add a tricky little element to the game. The winner is the last person that successfully removed and then replaced a brick without toppling the tower. Ea...

sexyminxy Guess Who?
... tv and trying to find a way to avoid the pile of ironing i had to do when i thought of the idea of getting a few board games to play. I got my boyfriend to go with me to Argos where we browsed through the catalogue. I spotted the game Guess Who and got all excited as i remember playing this when i was a kid and used to absolutely love it. Guess Who is the flip and face game where you ask the other player questions and try to guess your opponents card by the process of elimination. It was on offer and you could buy two different games for £15. I thought this was quite a good deal as the seperate price was £9.99. I bought the game and brought it home. When i took it o...
