Advantages: Teaches colours, counting and turn taking

Disadvantages: Pieces are cardboard so won't necessarily last too long

Thomas' Windy Day Rescue Game is a lovely little game for pre-schoolers. The aim of the game is to go around the track collecting items that have blown around during a storm. There are 4 characters to choose from. You roll a coloured dice and move along the board to the next space of that colour, collecting any items that are on the space. There is the Fat Controller who takes back items, and the signalman who either lets you carry on or miss a turn.

The game is aimed at children who are 3 plus, but I would say any older than five and they are too old to get much enjoyment out of it. My three year old loves the game and plays it over and over again. It has taught him about turn taking, colours, counting and social interaction.

I think the game is a bargain at £4.83 and would definitely recommend it for avid Thomas fans and other children alike.
