Disadvantages: Not many 2p coin machines around these days!

When I walk into an arcade this is the first thing that I look for. It's bascially a game that consists of a few slots at the very top of the machine. The coins drop into a box which has two or three moving, silver shelves that are layered with either 2p's, 5p's or 10p's. If you get you your timing right then the coin that you drop in get's pushed into the pile of money and if you are lucky then it could push some coins over the edge into the pocket by your legs. You can then scream with joy as you collect up all your coins and throw them back into the machine again!

The thing about this game is it is really simple but really addictive. I always find that I throw tonnes of coins in, in the hope that just a few may drop out of the bottom. If they do then I get so excited but in the cold light of day I have either thrown more money into the machine than I have actually won or when I count up my stash I relaise that I have only recieved around 20p at the most. It feels like more!

My favourite machine is the 2p one because the fact is I would only put my 2p's in a jar somewhere and in years to come I may count them up and take them to the bank to cash in; they have no real value so I feel like I'm not throwing moeny away. If I see a 10p machine then I always question whether I should play on it or not because to me, a few 10p coins aren't wasted money, I would probably use them at some point to pay for a chocolate bar.

Despite all of the above this game really is highly fun and it is probably the only bit of gambling I like to do as it's only small money. I would definately recommend that you have a go on one next time you see one somewhere because they are great fun and so much less complicated than all of the otehr arcade games; it definitely suits a simple mind!
