Advantages: fun, easy to understand
Disadvantages: none
I bought this for the grandchildren to play. They all love Peppa Pig so I thought a game which involved Peppa and George would be fun for them to play. I used to love Snakes and Ladders when I was a child and thought combining the two would be a good idea.
The board is a huge plastic sheet which you lay down on the floor. In the various squares there are pictures of Peppa Pig characters and of course there are snakes and ladders too! The counters are large flat plastic discs each with a different Peppa Pig character on. There are four in total and the plastic is different colours so they're easy to spot.
The game is easy- you roll the dice and then move your counter however many the dice tells you. If you land on a snake you follow it down, if you land on a ladder you climb it. The winner is whoever gets to the end fastest.
My grandchildren enjoy playing this game and think it's fun. I would say it's suitable from 3 up although my granddaughter who is nearly 4 hasn't really got the concentration for it and doesn't quite understand what she's doing, she just wants to keep rolling the dice! I think you et a better game out of this with 4-5 year olds really but it is perfectly friendly for younger children, just be wary of the dice being small.
It's bright and colourful and it's fun to play. I like board games, i like how they teach children about turn taking and winning and losing. It's nice that it has Peppa Pig on too as that is what attract them to the actual game!
It's good quality and the plastic folds away easily to put back.
Summary: 5 stars
