A simple, fun, but expensive game (Pictionary)

I am very aware that this site requires opinion of a product and not really a detailed explanation of the product itself. For the sake of this review, it should be enough to say that Pictionary is a game where two opposing teams have to battle it out against each-other. One member of each team has a card with things written on it (films, songs, sayings etc), and has to draw on a small pad of paper for the other team to guess what it is.

First up, this game is all art based, which isolates a lot of people who really don't like drawing. I have played with a few people who just really don't like to draw, and are left depressed! A better game in that case is Cranium, which has a round like pictionary, but has lots of others too.

The game is fun for those willing and able to draw. It's always funny, as you imagine your pics are better than they are, but when you look back over what you've done it's just ridiculous. All ages can play, as long as they can hold a pencil. I played this yesterday with my school class of 12 year olds and although their drawings were awful they were, at least, ALL awful, so it was fair.

The worst thing about the game is that you end up running out of paper, or the pencils go blunt and there's no sharpener, and you really need to make sure you have paper in the house to play it.

Shockingly, this game cost us £30, which is a terribly high price for such a simple game, and once again I am reminded of cranium. For the same price, there is a game with so many more levels.

All in all, a simple game which can be a lot of fun but at such a high price I am not sure it's worth it.
