Pool is one of my all time favourite games, and you can read my review of 8 ball pool by searching for 'pool, 8 ball'. I played it for years with no real knowledge of 9 ball pool, so imagine my surprise when I walked into a Megabowl one day and saw the weirdest pool table I had even seen. 8 ball (British) pool is played on a 6ft by 3ft table, whereas 9 ball (American) is played on a 9 ft by 4ft table. Its growing popularity is thanks primarily to the film 'The Colour Of Money, but more recently snooker players such as Jimmy White and Steve Davis have begun to take on the Americans and South-East Asians at their own game]. Anyone who has ever played pool is more likely to have played what is commonly referred to as 'eight ball pool'. That is not to say that there are only eight balls on the table, merely that the numbered balls, consisting of seven ... Read the complete review
