I love it but my daughter is not so keen (Tomy Pop Up Pirate)

remember when you were young and at the end of term you were allowed to take a game in? Well this was one of those games which someone else brought in and everyone wanted to play it so I naver got a turn. It looked like great fun and as much as I pestered my mum for it I never got it! This is now another game I have bought for my child but she doesn't even like it - probably because I always pester her to play it with me!

It is made by Tomy and it consists of a a base, a big barrel with lots of slots in it, a pirate to sit in the top and many little plastic swords. The aim is to avoid the pirate popping up on you when you stick a sword into one of the holes around the barrel. My daughter is not to keen as the pirate always seems to hit her and she complains that it is sore.

It is supposed to be suitable for age 4 years and upwards but to be honest although it is fun for them the swords are a bit stiff to push in which means they have to lean over it and that is how my daughter gets hit. I wouldn't let a 4 year old play it by themselves.

I bought this from a car boot sale for £2.50 for her and as it has been out a long time there are probably lots more going second hand. To buy it new it would cost about £9.99.

Summary: Great game if you can cope with being hit
