Advantages: Great for little boys

Disadvantages: Not so great for little girls

This is another of those games that scare the living daylights out of you and is not meant for the older generation or those who have a heart complaint!

The game consists of a small pirate who sits inside a barrel. Surrounding the barrel are little holes and inside the little holes are little coloured daggers. The aim of the game is to take it in turns pulling out the daggers that surround the pirate. If you pull the wrong one then it causes the pirate to bounce up into the air and the game is well and truly over!

This came out after the likes of Mr pop and other such 'poo your pants' games so the scare factor had already done a million times over. The difference with this game was the fact that it was specifically aimed at young lads who had a love for pirates. You can imagine every 'pirate wannabe' seeing this on the telly and wanting it straight away. My older brother was one of these little boys and of course he got it as a present one year.

As a girl, I found this game quite boring and the only thing that interested me was stealing the small pirate and putting him in my dolls house with my other barbies! I would however play it because if I didn't then I'd get beaten up and not in the usual way which leads me to my next point!

Why the hell toy companies think it's a good idea to throw a load of small coloured daggers into the game is beyond me! I was the poor sole who ended up getting stabbed 100 times over by these treacherous things and I must have been covered in hundreds of bruises. Yes I fought back but I was no match for my big bro!

As far as I'm concerned this game has been done before except it comes with small torturous weapons that are no good to the weaker party!

If you have a young lad who is obsessed with Pirates then you can encourage that obsession by buying them this but beware as you might wake up in the night with them standing over you about to stab you in the eye with a green or yellow dagger!

Summary: Fun for the boys and torture for the girls!
