Advantages: No batteries!

Disadvantages: base and barrel do not stay attached.

I bought this Pop Up Pirate game for my three young children - aged 3 (well nearly) and twins aged 21 months. The object of the game is to slide the swords in to the holes of the barrel and when you find the correct hole the pirate pops up from the barrel. Although my three children are younger than the recommended age (which is 4 years plus) they have all enjoyed playing the game and it is something they can play together with adult supervision. The hardest part is to push the sword in the full length as the last bit of the sword needs an extra push.
The game is made up of four main parts - the base, the barrel, the pirate and the swords (which are supplied in four colours - red, yellow, green and blue). The game also comes with several stickers to attach to the base and the barrel. I would say that the price is fair - I paid around £12 from a well known toy store.
If i were to critisize this game - the barrel does not stay on the base and i think this could easily be improved.
The best bit is......no batteries!
I would recommend this game.
