I've only played risk twice and already I'm hooked! This game has all the characteristics of a classic with its mix of strategy with luck. When I played I was amazed at how quickly the game could change around - one minute you were winning and the next you had lost. It mainly consists of each player having a mission, whether it be to conquer different continents or to wipe out another player. You have to build up armies on the countries that you own and then to conquer more places you have to battle with the owner using dice (the person with the highest number wins).
It has loads of little bonuses to keep you interested and is not as drawn out as other games like Monopoly can be - it usually lasts about an hour and is for 3-6 players. Definitely a game to look out for on the shop shelf!
