Advantages: A great fun game for the whole family! Lots of laughs
Disadvantages: None
I love this game and with Christmas coming up I would really recommend it as a fun way to spend some time after dinner with the family.
We tend to play this when there are about 6 of us and it can sometimes have us in hysterics laughing, although it can be played with less.
Each person gets a folder that contains a pad where they write their answers and then a number of cards with a number of catergories on it. Before play can commence all the players need to agree upon which category is going to be played. Once this has been decided (and no arguing people as there are plenty of categories to play!) then the fun can begin and you can begin earning points to try and win!
One player rolls a 20 sided die and whichever letter it lands on is the letter that will be used for the list decided upon. The timer is then turned for play to begin - the timer is for 3 minutes.
The aim of the game is to list one thing for each category and write in on the pad provided. The word need to begin with the letter that shows on the die. Sound easy?
Yeah right - under pressure and seeing everyone else writing can give you a mind block. Depending on the category and the letter given then yes some are easy but others aren't - the more the time runs out the sillier your answers can become.
Once the timer has run out everyone reads their answers out - if anyone else has the same answer then noone earns a point. Only the words that are individual earn points! Again hard under pressure to think of something that you think no one else will get.
I would really really recommend this game if you want a way to spend time together as a family.
Summary: With Christmas coming this is ideal as an after dinner game!

- 02/11/09 Thank Jennikitten have got the rid of the half finished sentence.
Than k you for your feedback davidbuttery - sorry you felt it rushed but I can assure you that it was not. I am just not very good at writing. As a newbie perhaps with time I may improve I just hope people are kind enough to give me a chance. |

- 02/11/09 See previous comment. Rating this a U for that reason, and because it does seem just a little rushed. |
