Scrabble is a game that has been around for years and they have brought out various versions over the years including a junior version, on the computer, deluxe and travel editions. I am going to review the standard scrabble game.

I think that scrabble is a game I have played with my family over the years and this has improved my spelling and word understanding drastically. This is a game I love to play and now I am older the game is more competitive and still as much fun.

Scrabble is the classic word game and is for 2 to 4 players, it is recommended for 10 year and up. This is a classic game it is simple to play and does not take hours to play.

In scrabble you take 7 plastic letter squares each square has a value on it and then you take it in turns to have a go and put a word onto the board, the aim is to get words that use the double and treble words scores or the double and triple letter score. The better the word and the better the place the more points you get. The game is over when the players have used up all of the letters and the person with the highest score is the winner. For those letters you have left the values of the letters are taken off your score. This is great as the winner is not necessarily the one who finished the game first.
Scrabble players usually have to be great at blocking words or knowing a lot of two letter words, so if you are stuck with two letters you can always play your go and not have to forfeit you go and change your letters.

I think that scrabble is a lot about luck as it is about what letters you get and if there is a possibility of spelling a word or you have to try and work off existing letters on the board. This is a great game to play on a rainy day when there is not a lot else to do.

I game I still love playing, well worth it, trying playing a game after your Christmas dinner you will thoroughly enjoy it.
