Advantages: Great fun that never ages

Disadvantages: None

This game never ages!

It is the perfect word game and is suitable for most ages (10+). Using seven letter tiles, drawn randomly from a bag, create and display words that are then placed on a game board. Each word must be added to a letter from previous words so you end up with what looks like an elaborate completed crossword puzzle. Each letter is worth points and extra points can be earned when your words fall on double/triple word point spaces, double/triple letter spaces or if you can use all your tiles to make a word in one go. After each turn you replace the tiles you have used with more from the bag, so you always have 7 letters. The game ends when somebody uses all their letters and there are none left in the bag; and the winner is the one with the highest score.

I have been playing this game since I was a little kid and still enjoy it now as an adult.

I am not very good at English, and in fact it was my least favorite and worst subject at school - I'm much more interested in science - but I have to say that I thoroughly enjoy playing Scrabble. It is an amazing game to play with family and friends, especially family as you always find that your mum will always giggle and put a rude word down, as "even though its naughty it's the only word she can make."!

Warning - do not play when eating food especially nibbles like crisps as somebody will always accidentially eat a scrabble piece! Also this game is not recommended around puppies. We always know when somebody has the "Z" tile in our set, as it is covered in puppy teeth marks.

This game can be bought for around £14 and will last for years.

Summary: A timeless classic board game

I used to love playing Scrabble, not had a game in ages, though.
