Ah Scrabble, everyone's favourite Christmas game. At least that's what everyone tells each other at the festive time, as if it's some kind of ritual that must be observed!

The classic word game has long since had its day, but is still good for a play every now and again. It's a chance for brainiacs to show off their vocabulary and for grandparents to keep them awake at family get-togethers.

I'm sure I don't need to explain how the game works as unless you were brought up on another planet you know the basics of Scrabble. If not, ask your grannie!

In short I don't mind the odd game of Scrabble at Christmas time or other family get-togethers, but it can take such a long time and it can get rather boring.
