Advantages: Easy to play, very entertaining

Disadvantages: None really

Snakes & Ladders was probably my favourite game as a child, providing endless hours of entertainment. The concept is pretty simple & easy to follow, this is probably why the game had been a global success over the many years it's been around.

The game is played with at least two players and you can have more, but I wouldn't really recommend more than four or five at most. The board has a number of squares and each player rolls a dice and moves that many squares across. The first player who reaches the top of the board wins. However there is a twist.

If you land on a square where you find yourself at the bottom of a ladder than you follow that ladder up, therefore moving that many spaces up. However if you land on a square with a snake on it, you follow it down & end up that many sqaures back.

So even if a particular player has a good start, it might not last very long. That's what I like most about the game I think the fact that all players are always in the game wherever they are on the board.

This is a proper classic that will keep the kids occupied & entertainined for a number of hours.

Summary: Will keep the kids entertained for hours

I adored this game as a child - probably still would , but kids these days prefer their computer games
