solitair that doesnt involve cards, i hear you saying how is this possible. The only thing this game has in comon with the card game is that it takes a lot of thinking and patience. There are a lot of different prices for this game, you can pick them up for a £1 in most £1 stores made of plastic but mine i got from the avon catalogue, it is a metal base with 33 little half circle grooves cut out in the shape of a + sign. You have 32 little balls or counters depending on the quality of the game you have brought, mine are little grey marbles, with these you put them in the little cut our groves leaving the middle one empty. What is it about this game? It's so overrated it drives me crazy! The aim of the game is to get rid of all the marbles except one. You can see from the pic how you start off. You have to remove marbles from the board by jumping one over them (like in Checkers). You can only jump one place, and there must be an empty space to jump into. It's as simple (or not) as that! The first time I played this I did really well. After about ten minutes I was 'stuck' with three marbles left. I thought that was quite good, and continued to play every time I was at my friend's house, for about 3 months. However, I never did it again! I never got that close to ... Read the complete review

I have always loved playing board games and i think real life interaction playing these is far better than the so called interaction you get through computer games, whether you play against a computer or real people. When i was younger, i would nag and nag my family to play board games with me. My dad showed me this game in order to get some peace and quiet and it really did keep me quiet for hours! This game can be as simple or as difficult as you want it to be, so it is suitable for a variety of ages. There are 32 pegs placed onto a board that is shaped in a cross. The pegs go into little holes so they are easily moveable (in fact that's that object of the ... Read the complete review

My first run in with Solitaire was around my Aunties house at a very young age, it took me a while to grasp the concept of the game but after a while I was pulling off some pretty good performances. The game is actually very easy to understand, you play on a circular (usually wooden) board that has 33 dimples shaped in a cross formation and a circular dimple cut all the way round its outside edge. At the beginning of each game you have a small marble sized ball in each dimple except the middle one (32 balls in total). To complete the game you have to end up with just one ball left in the middle dimple that was originally empty. To remove a ball you must jump over it with ... Read the complete review

Are you bored? I mean really bored with absolutely nothing better to do. If you are then this might be the game for you. The rules of solitaire are simple. You have 32 marbles arranged on a board in a cross shape. In the middle of the board is a space. Marbles are moved around the board by jumping them over other adjacent marbles. Each marble that is jumped over is then removed. The aim of the game is to end with one marble on the board. This is a game for one person as its name suggests and when you have found the solution, as long as you remember it, you need never play again as you have solved the puzzle. The trouble is that it is not ... Read the complete review
