Advantages: A good laugh.
Disadvantages: Smelly people and perverts!
Twister is a fun game that has been around for years, sadly my days of being able to contort myself into the positions often required for this game are now long behind me but it is fun to watch the kids playing it.
The game revolves round a plastic mat with many different coloured dots on it and a spinner that has the same colours in random order with body parts near them. The idea is each player takes a turn to spin and if they get right arm on an orange dot for instance then this is what they have to do on the mat.
It can end up in children tying themselves up in knots and having great fun whilst adults watch on in hysterics. As adults we used to play it after we had, had a few too much to drink but to be honest it can get a bit uncomfortable in more ways than one.
It is well known for the pervert of the group to try to cop a sneaky feel or perhaps someone will have a slight body odour problem and you could end up getting a very close up whiff of an armpit or worse. I have seen groups of grown adults having boobs and bums in faces which may seem enjoyable to some but it is mostly embarrassing.
Adults probably want to avoid playing this with kids as it can be a bit disturbing if a poor child ends up very close to your unmentionables or vice versa so unless your name happens to be Michael Jackson or Gary Glitter it is probably best to leave the kids alone to play this.
If you are lucky enough to still be flexible enough to play this then give it a go but watch out for the perverts and smelly people when you choose who you are going to be playing with!
Summary: good for kids dangerous for adults!

- 30/11/08 Good review, personally I think the best place to be when playing Twister is to be sat in the sofa, drinking tea, watching tv and spinning the wheel! |
