MB Games Twister
Advantages: It is a fun and active game
Disadvantages: You can get bruised if you are not careful
HOW DO YOU PLAY TWISTER?
Twister is a fun game that requires you to be active. You need a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 players, different ages can play but it is safer if you are all evenly matched in height and weight. You start off by spinning the pointer and that tells you where you need to put your hand or foot. The board is a big sheet of plastic with coloured circles printed on it, you put your hands and feet on the circles as the pointer tells you to. The fun starts when you have all had a go each because then you'll all start having to climb over each other. If you fall over you lose and the winner is the one who is still balancing on their hands and feet.
WHAT I THINK
I like to play Twister but not for very long because I think it gets boring quickly. My husband does not like it at all because he does not like all of the bending and stretching so I usually play with my daughters because I am petite so we are matched. Usually my daughters play on their own.
You need a big room to open the board out and to make sure noone bangs themselves on furniture if they fall over. Ours got the most use when it was dry outside and my daughters played it in the garden. It is easy to learn the rules so young children can play you just have to change things a bit so that they can choose a colour they can reach.
I like listening to my children laughing together when they are playing Twister and it is not a competitive game because they think it is very funny when either of them fall over and loses the game. They have hurt themselves a few times playing it but it has just been bumps and bruises and nothing serious.
The quality of the game is good and the board just has to be wiped to keep it clean. It is not ripped or stretched even though it has been used a lot. The pointer broke last time we used it and my husband says it is very fiddly to fix so he is going to try to get another one instead. We keep our Twister game in the box but it doesn't fill the box up so to save room you could put it in a drawer out of the box because it's only the board and the pointer with no small pieces.
Twister costs about £15 to buy but you very often see it on special offer with other games in stores like Toys R Us.
4 Dooyoo Stars.
Summary: Twister is a very fun game but I think it gets boring after one game
