A very innovative and distinctive product from JPM, who have produced hundreds of fruit machines over their long history. With the licence obtained from one of the most popular television programs of all time, it was bound to be a great success. So, what's inside that attractive cabinet? A bog standard PC which loads the game and questions from CD ROM (which has made this machine easy for the manufacturer to update) interfaced up to the impressive touch screen monitor. Nothing overly complex, but it works well most of the time. There have been reports of units which have problems with the touch screen interface where it registers a different answer from the ... Like many people, for me the TV show is starting to lose it's appeal, especially when you realise that the contestants can't actually hear you screaming at the telly " It's B you idiot!!!" So here is a chance to participate in the game without spending hundreds of pounds on your phone bill. Like the TV programme, at the beginning of the game you are given the 3 lifelines. 50 50 is pretty straight forward. The person acting as host slides across 2 wrong answers leaving 1 correct one and 1 wrong one. If your family is anything like mine it will work in much the same way as the show in that you are left with the hardest two answers ... Read the complete review

Oh well that will probably never happen but at least you can pretend with this game. Who wants to be a millionaire is great fun to play with friends (especially after one or two drinks) but it is not perfectly thought out which detracts somewhat from its playability. Basically you play the game as in the show, and everyone gets a turn to be Chris Tarrant and has a good old laugh saying "Is that your final answer..." and other choice catchphrases. Its the things like lifelines, and the presentation of money which haven't been thought out too well. For example you have three counters for your lifelines which always dissapear down the sofa and so a ... Read the complete review

It seems that everywhere you go at the moment there is a picture of Chris Tarrant offering you the chance to win a Million. There is the original program, the books, the board game, the computer game and now the Pub Trivia game. The Pub Trivia machine has always been a bone of contention when people go out for a social drink. It is usually seen as anti-social behaviour to go and play one of the machines. The beauty of the Who Wants to be A Millionaire is that everyone loves the concept. They have seen it on the television and think "I could do that". The machine provides the opportunity to prove so. Imagine how much more confident the average ... Read the complete review

We received a £15 Woolworths voucher for one of our Christmas presents and wanted to buy a game that was suitable for all our family. We looked round and discovered that most of the good games cost a whopping £25, so I earned enough on www.beenz.com to get another £10 voucher and there we were ... It is quite difficult to find a game for all of us, as we cover a wide range of ages from 4 to 31, but we settled on the Junior edition of the new 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire' board game. The board game suggests it is suitable for children aged between 8 and 12. This means our 4 year old misses out, but she doesn't seem to mind too much. There ... Read the complete review
