HISTORY

Yahtzee originated in canada by a wealthy couple who were unnamed. They invented this game to play on board there yacht and they invited their friends to play. The game was not a big success so they held yahtzee parties and then it really did take off. MB games got involved in manufacturing this game and average selling 50 millions yahtzee sets a year. Its a game of skill and luck but more luck then skill.

THE GAME
The game involves 5 dices and a cup for the dice, score pads or you can use paper if you have no pads as long as you know the layout of the score system.
The score sheet is set as
on the upper section you have
1s you have to get as many 1s as possible
2s you have to get as many 2s as possible
3s you have to get as many 3s as possible
4s you have to get as many 4s as possible
5s you have to get as many 5s as possible
6s you have to get as many 6s as possible
Total the total is all rows added together
Bonus you get bonus if your score is 63 or more
Total for upper section total + bonus if applicable
then lower section is
1pr is as it says 1,1 2,2 3,3 4,4 5,5 6,6
2pr is 1,1 +2,2 or 3,3+6,6 or any other combinations
3 of a kind is 3 of the same number ie 6.6.6
4 of a kind is 4 of the same number ie 4.4.4.4
low straight is 1,2,3,4,5 no other combination
high straight is 2,3,4,5,6 no other combination
Full House is a combination of 3 of a kind and 1pr ie 5.5.5.2.2 or any other combination.
Chance is if you get nothing to put in any column you can use it as a chance. But only once.
Yahtzee is obviosly all the dice the same. 3.3.3.3.3
Bonus is if you are lucky to have more than 1 yahtzee in that game you get 100 points extra for each yahtzee.
Upper score total of the rows added together
Lower score total of the rows added together
Total total of upper + lower added together
Highest score wins the game.

MY OPINION
Excellent game for all the family to play on those dark,cold,wet nights. When there nothing on tv. Great game to play with family and friends. I have played for hours. You can also play online against other players on some gaming sites. Hope you have fun playing this game I do. Also have found it in a travel version as well so pop on into suitcase or hand luggage keep the kids quiet while travelling, or holidays.
