Advantages: .

Disadvantages: .

Yahtze is simple game played with 5 dice, a score card and a pen. Basic? You Betcha! But at the same time what we have here is a great game which although relying mainly on luck does also require a little skill as well.

How To Play

The rules of Yahtzee are simple. You are given a score card at the beginning of each game which lists a number of dice combinations that you are to try to achieve during the game. For example, There is 4 of a kind, full house, chance(for when you fail to get what you expected), 1s, 2s, 3s, etc as well as 5 of a kind - known as Yahtze. These combinations are given point scores dependant upon the difficulty of the combination you have received. At the end of the game...when all the boxes are completed either with the combinations being achieved or failed, the points are added up and the player with the most is the winner.

So Is It Fun

Of course it is fun - if you like dice games. There is nothing here which is going to tax your mind too much, so if you only like games in the style of chess or othello which are more a battle of wits than anything else, then this probably isn't for you. If you like a bit of fun without having to overstress those brain cells then check this out.

Who is is suitable for

As it is so simple to play I would say that it is suitable for most age groups, although maybe not the very young. There may also be an argument to say that children could also learn from this game if when they are playing they have to match up numbers on the dice and calculate the score...but this is probably quite a weak argument. There are better games for this sort of this if that is your aim.

Conclusion - Should I Buy It

Yes, you should buy it. Not least because the price is so ridiculously low. The only problem is that if you play it a lot then you are liable to run out of game cards and be forced to buy some more(don't know where from) or make you own(or scan t
hem and print your own of course...). This is a minor problem though and easily got round. The game is fun and easy to pick up, so most will find it enjoyable.

I've played this game several times in the past and found it good fun, nothing that requires too much thought and something that is very simple to play.

When you play this game it is clearly based on 5 card draw poker, but made palatable for those who would raise their hands in horror if they thought they were playing poker.

I've never had the chance to play this game. Good Op.
