Boots Botanics Enriching Body Cream

Boots Botanic Enriching Body Cream
I find during winter months that my skin gets dry, and I do try to vary the products I use, and Boots Botanic is a range that I find excellent value for money, natural and most of all good on my skin.
=Boots Botanic=
Boots Botanic is an own brand product, available from ... both Boots stores and online at Boots.com, the Botanic range are available all year round
=The Design=
I will say straight away don't be put off by the product by the lack of fancy design, as it's a large 450ml screw top jar, with a green based label on the front which explains the product, and further information on the reverse. All the items within the range are the same design.
=Price=
The price of the Enriching Body Cream is around £5.50, although there are occasions when the products are on 3 for 2.
=Plant Extracts=
The botanic range, contains natural plant extracts and rice bran protein.
=The Cream=
The cream is a white cream, it is not as thick as a Body Butter that you would get from the Body Shop, but nor as runny as some sun tan lotions, it's a medium consistency, soft enough to rub in, but firm enough not to lose the cream when you use it.
When I use the cream, I find that it does not sink into my skin straight away and does need a bit of rubbing in, but once absorbed into your skin, it leaves a pleasant smell and leaves the skin knowing that it has been moisturised and hydrated. The cream is non greasy, which for me is a bonus, as once soaked in you can put your clothes on without worrying about the cream soaking through. This is a long lasting cream and certainly keeps my skin moisturised.
=Winter=
I personally feel that this is a Autumn, winter, spring cream, as it has a good level of moisturising and it certainly helps my dry skin, I just feel that it is too heavy for summer.
=Would I recommend=
I would highly recommend this Botanic cream and I have knocked 1 star off for it not soaking into my skin straight away, but for the price, this is excellently priced and certainly holds well against more expensive products. Read the complete review |

Boots Natural Collection Vanilla Body Lotion
by Elaineee
I was given a set of Boots body lotion with matching shower gel for my birthday. It took me a couple of months to get around to using it. I see in store their Natural Collection body lotions are £3 each for a good 200ml size.
The body lotion comes in a soft plastic see-through tube. The tube stands on it's screw flip top lid ... making the lotion inside always ready to be squeezed out. There is a flowery picture on the front and the lotion inside is cream coloured so easy to spot. The info on the back is clear to read as it is written in black.
This is a light lotion which is 'blended with natural vanilla to help leave skin, smooth, conditioned and noticeable softer'. The directions say to massage into the skin after showering or bathing.
The body lotion is very creamy and light, it reminds me of yogurt- without fruit bits of course. It smells like vanilla mingled with milk. It isn't thick like a body butter but isn't thin either.
This is a lovely body lotion, it's right when it says it conditions and softens skin. I apply some after my shower and my skin feels soft and hydrated, I'd say this softness lasts all day. You really don't need much to get a good cover. The consistency of the lotion makes it very easy to use, it absorbs right in within a few minutes. My skin is left with no residue therefore I can get dressed almost immediately.
Most noticeable are my dry hands, instantly after an initial 'sting' they feel and look much better, to be honest I was surprised with the results. The smell stays evident for ages even after I've washed my hands- I can still smell it on them.
I've had no adverse reaction whilst using this lotion.
I would recommend this body lotion and give it 5 stars. Read the complete review |

Boots Natural Collection Vanilla Shower Cream
by sparkle1004
I am not particularly loyal to any type of shower gel and will usually buy whichever one catches my fancy. The latest one to catch my eye was the Natural Collection Shower Cream by Boots.
About the product
The product is described by Boots as being a fresh and soothing shower cream which will leave your skin feeling ... fresh and clean. They come with indulgent and calming fragrances and it promises to nourish and soften the skin leaving it feeling and looking in a better condition and smelling delicious.
Varieties
The product comes range of different aromas in the shower cream collections. You can choose between Wild Strawberry, Vanilla, Samphire and Sea Minerals (I have no idea what Samphire is!) or Ice Musk. There are also a few shower gels in the collection too. I chose the Vanilla shower cream because I know this scent!
Packaging and Price
The shower cream comes contained within a plastic bottle and you can see the creamy coloured product inside. There are flowers on the front of the bottle and some information about the product is given on the back. The lid is black and shiny, and it has a rather convenient hook which allows you to hang it up neatly in the shower. You pull the lid to get it off. The shower creams cost £2.00 for 200ml of the product and it can be bought from Boots and also from their online website.
Application and Performance
The product is easy to use and the lid makes it more accessible in the first place. It has a strong aroma which is smells natural as opposed to being artificial and if you like vanilla then there should be no reason why you wouldn't like the aroma of this. It is easy to dispense from the bottle and it has quite a thick consistency for a shower cream. A little goes a long way with this product so you don't need to use too much of it in order to achieve the desired results. It feels luxurious and rich on the skin and when used with a sponge, it makes a rich foam which really makes you feel like it's hydrating the skin as well as cleansing it.
The aroma of the cream is evident throughout the whole process. The cream is gentle on the skin and it hasn't caused me to experience any discomfort or irritations on my skin. The shower cream is easily rinsed off once you are done. Once my skin is dry, I feel really fresh and clean, and a faint aroma of the product lingers on the skin after use which is lovely. My skin also feels soft so it's quite hydrating and it doesn't leave my skin feeling tight or uncomfortable.
Conclusion
All in all, this is a lovely shower cream and if you like the aroma of vanilla then there's no reasons why you wouldn't like this. It smells completely delicious and it has a rich and luxurious lather which makes you feel like you're getting really clean. It is gentle on the skin and it leaves my skin feeling really soft and smooth. I will definitely be trying out the others in the collection once this is all gone. Read the complete review |
