Oriflame Silk & Cashmere In Shower Moisturiser
by klakierek
I would usually use a shower gel to wash my body and then a body lotion when I leave the shower cubicle. One day I came across Oriflame Silk & Cashmere In-Shower Moisturiser and I thought it was a very interesting idea. I remained skeptical about its 2-in-1 property but I just couldn't not try it.
It comes in a pale pink ... plastic tub with a screw lid at the bottom. Its design isn't any different to other Oriflame Silk & Cashmere cosmetics but as I have mentioned in my previous revious I think it is very modern yet plain. Its scent is very mild and delicate - just exactly the same like other Silk & Cashmere products, very feminine and pleasant.
I thought I would just need to use it like any other shower gels but I was wrong. You need to wash your body and then you apply it and leave it for a couple of minutes. I found it a bit funny and time-consuming, and I also got cold... It does, however, do its job - after that my skin was moisturised and nourished, noticeably softer and smoother which proved my skepticism wrong.
Its texture is, surprisingly, very lotion-like. I expected something thicker and richer but it was quite runny. It is therefore very easy to apply but at the same time I noticed I tend to use quite a lot of it so one tub did not really last for a long time - it disappeared before I had noticed.
Overall, I think that this in-shower moisturiser is a good idea, and it does its job but at the same time, waiting for 2 minutes for it to absorb and then washing it off can be quite tiring. Paying £6.75 for 150 ml it is not really worth it.

Oriflame Silk & Cashmere Body Lotion
by klakierek
Oriflame Silk & Cashmere Body Lotion has been in Oriflame catalogue for quite a while now and it was recommended to one of my family members who has a very dry skin. For me, it was the same case as with the shwoer gel - I couldn't stop myself from stealing it!
It comes in a pale pink vessel with a screw lid at the top. The ... design is very similar to that of the shower gel - simple and plain but fairly modern. Unlike the shower gel bottle, this one has a lid at the top so you need to turn it upside down when you start running out of it.
It has a very mild scent - of course, it is exactly the same one as the shower gel: very delicate and feminine. It disappears fairly quickly. This lotion has a white colour and quite runny texture. What really surprised me is that my skin seems to be absorbing it for ages! I am not sure whether it was the moisturising effect that the producer tried to achieve but my skin felt a bit weird. I would normally use it in the evening, before I go to bed and that wouldn't be a problem but sometimes I take a shower in the morning and this odd effect seemed to me to be a bit of an issue.
Apart from that, this lotion isn't amazing. My skin became slightly softer and maybe smoother but I have tried many other cosmetics that gave me a better effect. Also, my elbows (a fairly dry part of my body) remained dry so I definitely wouldn't recommend this lotion to a person with a dry skin. It is also quite pricey - 200 ml costs £6.75.

Oriflame Silk & Cashmere Softening Body Cream
by klakierek
Silk & Cashmere sounds very luxurious for me. I am at the stage of my life when as student living away from home I cannot really afford many fancy clothes or cosmetics. My friend, however, decided to spoil me with Oriflame Silk & Cashmere Softening Body Cream. This limited edition of products came in purple (instead of pale pink) ... containers. I honestly adore the design of this round, plastic and shiny vessel. Its dark colour makes me think of the days when it becomes colder and windier and you just feel like covering yourself up with a blanket or a duvet and drinking hot chocolate. Therefore I think it is more of a autumn/winter product whereas the other silk & cashmere cream would make it perfect for the summer.
When I opened the container, I didn't really know what kind of scent to expect. This one turned out to be a very pleasant and mild one which doesn't really remind me of anything I have smelled so far (maybe, in a way, it is a bit similar to Dove shower gels). It seems to disappear very quickly - or maybe it is just so mild I forget about it.
I absolutely love the texture of this product - it is very creamy but not too thick, a bit like custard. It is very easy to apply on the skin which absorbs it fairly quickly. It leaves the skin very smooth and soft, very pleasant to touch - great effect! It does moisturise, however, I don't think it would be sufficient for a dry skin. It was just about fine with my normal skin that can get drier every here and there at times.
Unfortunately, this cream seems to have run out very quickly. Normally I use this kind of cosmetics every day and usually a 200ml about a week longer - and I run out of this one in less than three weeks.
As far as I am concerned, you cannot normally buy this cream - it appears on special offers and one container would cost around £5.00.
