      A high end body lotion

Review of Abahna Frangipani & Orange Blossom Body Lotion

This range was unknown to me until fairly recently. I was given a bag of unused beauty products by my niece who was having a decluttering session prior to having her bathroom and bedroom redecorated. My freebies were well received as I do love my beauty products, a couple of items from the Abahna range were included.

I believe the body lotion was originally part of a gift set.

      **The Body Lotion**

This body lotion was presented in very pretty packaging, an outer cardboard box in a deep cerise/maroon shade embellished with gold accents. The creamy white body lotion is contained within a clear recyclable bottle with a push down tap type top. The push mechanism dispenses the lotion fairly quickly so you do need to take care not to over press! The dispensing nozzle is simple to use, however I have found that it clogs up fairly easily.

The body lotion bottle contains 250ml.

The body lotion is a creamy white colour, it has a thick, rich, silky texture and it glides onto the skin smoothly. I have a dry skin and use body lotions daily so am well used to the varying absorption of lotions, body butters and similar products!

Abahna Frangipani & Orange Blossom Body Lotion takes very little time to absorb, I found it did not sit on my skin but literally sank in leaving my skin feeling fresh and supple. There is absolutely no sticky residue left and no feeling of dampness, so I am able to dress almost straightaway after applying this lotion. My skin feels well moisturised after using this body lotion, as I would expect from a luxury range.

The scent of honey is predominant in the body lotion; it is a fairly strong scent and I do not detect the orange blossom fragrance through this. I am not particularly keen on the fragrance to be honest, it is not offensive or unpleasant, just not my 'cup of tea'.

      **Ingredients and the Abahna Company**

Abahna is a British luxury brand; Abahna is a family run business.
The company was founded and is by Ed and Claire Croft, who won a prestigious Walpole Brand of Tomorrow Award for their products in 2010. The company is dedicated to using natural ingredients.

The blurb on the packaging of this body lotion tells me that the body lotions is produced with "a conditioning blend of sweet almond oil, organic wild flower honey and vitamin E to pamper your skin, encourage cell regeneration and protect against environmental damage." The product is also enriched with cocoa and Shea butters to keep skin soft, smooth and to help restore its natural elasticity.
Abahna body lotion is produce in the UK using Essential oils along with mild organic ingredients known for their skin softening and healing properties.

This body lotion is free from parabens, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS ) and Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES). They contain no artificial colourings and Abahna is against animal testing.

      **My Thoughts and Conclusion**

I consider this to be a nice enough body lotion; however it is nothing remarkable in my opinion. I would liken it to a similar product from the 'Body Shop', good but it is distinctly 'middle of the road'. The fragrance is not really to my taste.

I have checked on line for prices of this body lotion because as mentioned at the top of the review, I did not purchase this body lotion for myself.

Abahna's own web site stock the body lotion for £20 for 250ml. Other websites also carry the range and prices tend to start at around £15 for the body lotions.

For a smallish bottle of 'middle of the road' body lotion, I feel this is too expensive. I am pleased to have been able to experience the Abahna products my niece passed on, but they are way out of my price range and I can safely say that I will not be buying these products for myself. I do not consider the product is really worth the high price tag. I am awarding Abahna Frangipani & Orange Blossom Body Lotion a 3* rating.

      Thank you for reading.

**UPDATE** I spotted this range in my local branch of TKMaxx recently so it may be worth checking them out!

N.B. My review may be found on other sites under the same user name.
