Have you used Anna Sui? Im addicted to Sui Dreams perfume. Its just gorgeous and has been a staple part of my cosmetic box for many many years, its timeless and sumptuous and refined. so when i saw Anna sui Body Lotion i thought "oh yes please!".
This lotions boasts many 'top notes'. 'middle notes', and 'base notes' - what des this mean to us? that this rich lotions has a plethora of goodies to make us smell lovely, some of which are "lily-of-the-valley... jasmine and Bulgarian rose; ... sandalwood, tonka beans, musk, cedar and teak wood". that all sounds lovely, but do you know what a Tonka Bean is? Haha i didnt either, let me enlighten you. Apparently its a rather ugly little thing, small black and wrinkled, but you can actually eat them. they are meant to taste the same as they smell, overtones of vanilla, caramel, honey, cherry and almond. Hence why they are so sought after when making lotions like this. I would expect nothing less of anna sui.
this lotion is no exception, it smells just heavenly, not too strong for sure, but not so subtle that you have wasted syour money and time in applying this to your skin. the scent is floral and vanilla-esque which smells a little like her perfumes combined. If you wear Sui Dreams perfume then i recommend that you apply a couple of squirts once the lotion has sunk in, there is nothing that can clash, the scents mingle beautifully and tend to make each other last longer. You can wear the lotion independently but after a few hours the scent has gone, but if you team with their perfume it really does last three times that long. when you walk or touch your arm it triggers a soft release of the fragrance, its a rather calming scent too so helps keep you in good spirits through the long days at work.
This lotion will only set you back about £6.99 and comes in a lovely little gift box, so makes a perfect pressie (and not too expensive that you cannot also get ne for yourself)!
As far as moisturising goes, huuum, i dont want to say anything negative about this product because i really do love it, but i would not recommend using this product alone if you have very dry skin or are prone to irritation after shaving your legs - which i am. So, once out of the shower i'll use a natural, un-perfumed lotion on mt legs and then apply the Anna sui to my upper body (which thankfully retains its own moisture beautifully hee hee) so i use just to make me smell nice. If you are lucky and the winter doesn't dry out your skin, then apply liberally and you'll be turning heads, or noses, where ever you go.
This is a great little product to make you feel a little bit special, treat yourself!
