Advantages: Psoriasis has cleared
Disadvantages: none
I have recently purchased an O2 Detox Foot Spa. I am very impressed with it. I have been suffering with terrible psoriasis since my teens and have found that after the 3 sessions I have had the improvement is significant. I have also noticed that the symptoms that I had suffered with from Irritible Bowel Syndrome have disappeared. I am now encouraging my friends and family to have treatments as I know it has helped so many people with many different symptoms.
SO HOW DOES IT WORK?
The O2 Detox literature states:
"The O2 Detox treatment is a very simple and effortless way to detox your body. It simply involves immersing your feet into a foot bowl filled with water. The O2 Detox machine looks like a foot spa. It contains a double element that reacts with water and salt to ionise the water within the foot spa. When the machine is activated it generates a magnetic bio-field similar to that of a living being. When we come into contact with this via our hands or feet the magnetic field within the foot spa interacts with our own magnetic field to rebalance and re-energise our system.
One 30 minute treatment will be enough to impart a sense of relaxation and well-being and your body will, if properly hydrated, begin to detox. A course of treatments will be necessary in most cases if you want you body to re-balance itself to the best health it can achieve.
This type of machine is described as a detox machine because the response of a rebalanced body is to excrete any excess toxins via the kidneys, liver, bowels and skin AFTER treatment. Therefore the client will experience the beneficial effects of a detox experience.
Whilst immersing your feet in the water a gentle Bio-Energetic Resonance travels through the body rebalancing it and providing a catalyst for self-detoxification. The body now starts to release the toxins through the pores in the feet.
The O2 Detox System is completely safe to use. It is however, not recommended for pregnant ladies, anyone with a pacemaker or an organ transplant."
HOW TO USE:
It is a very simple process, I just fill my footbowl with warm water and make up a saline solution with a tiny amount of table salt and warm water.
I then, plug the energiser (this is the metal coil that does all the work) into the control unit and immerse the other end into the water. I then put my feet into the water and switch the machine on. The machine gives a reading of around 0.5 amps. At this stage I feel a slight tingling sensation in my feet, which is not unpleasant, I also notice a yellowy/browny colour immerging from my feet. I then slowly add the saline solution to the water, the reading on the control panel now increases, and I keep adding the saline solution until the level reaches between 1.70 and 2.00 amps. The control panel has a timer on it that counts down from 30 minutes so I know how much time I have left until the end of the treatment. There is no pain or discomfort involved whatsoever.
RESULTS
At the end of the 30 minutes the machine beeps. The water by now is disgusting and I usually cannot see my feet at all! The colour varies with whoever has the treatment. My water is usually dark green and brown, and other people I know who have used my machine have had red, orange, yellow, brown and even black results.
I remove my feet from the water at the end of the treatment and clean them in a footspa filled with clean water and dry them off with a towel. My feet always feel really soft after the treatment and somehow I just feel 'cleaner' in general.
The results so far have been amazing, I had tried so many lotions and potions to get rid of my psoriasis which have not worked, but since I've been using the O2 detox loads of patches I had on my knees and back have gone! I have also suffered quite badly with IBS over the past couple of years and this now appears to have cleared up completely, with no other changes to my lifestyle other than using my O2 detox foot spa twice a week.
PRICE AND AVAILABILITY
When I first heard of Detox Foot Spas I shopped around, most of the machines are at least £1200, which is just too expensive and the arrays are between £60-£150 and need replacing every 20 uses. I finally came across O2 Detox at a trade fair at ExCel and had a demonstration of the treatment on their stand. I was astonished to find that their arrays last between 40-100 uses depending on if you are in a hard or soft water area and the machine itself was just £599! (which included 2 arrays) The arrays are also fairly cheap at £38, but I still have many more uses out of the 2 I had with the machine until I need to replace them. My colleague has an Aqua Detox machine which cost her £1300 and we have used both of the machines and they do exactly the same job, the other thing I didn't like about that machine is the fact that the digital display is part of the footbowl and one of her clients had splashed water onto it and the display did not work correctly so you couldn't read the timer or the amp readout. The O2 Detox has the footbowl completely separate to the control unit, so there is no chance of water getting splashed on it.
I purchased my machine at the show at ExCel so I took it away with me. O2 Detox do have a website where you can order from them and they send your machine to you via a courier service. The website is http://www.O2detox.com.
THE VERDICT
Brilliant! I never knew detoxing could be so easy, just sitting and relaxing with my feet in a bowl of warm water! I am even contemplating starting a mobile detox service, I understand salons charge between £25-£40 for a treatment, so I can make the money back that I spent on the machine if I treat just 20 clients and the rest will be profit!
