Advantages: easy to use, impressive results, innovative

Disadvantages: None

I recently bought a Platinum Detox Foot Spa from The Bio-Energy Clinic (www.bioclinic.co.uk).

What is it?
A detox foot spa looks not unlike a normal foot spa that you can purchase from the likes of Boots or Argos. However this is where the similarities end. You immerse your feet in the warm water inside the foot spa, sit back and relax, and watch the toxins come out through the 2000 pores in the soles of your feet. The results can be amazing. Often there will be lymphatic fat and mucus floating on the water. The water can turn brown, orange or black. The treatment lasts 30 minutes and is suitable for most people. There is no pain or exercise involved. A client would typically book in for a course of 5 to 7 treatments.

So how does it work?
We all naturally detox through our sweat glands. This system uses that principle. The foot spa is has a coil in the middle called an ?array?. This coil helps energise the water to attract positive and negative ions from both the body and the water. This helps stimulate the body to remove toxins.

What does it treat?
It doesn?t treat anything, but by helping you detox it can be beneficial for the likes of:

l Lactic Acid Reduction
l Menstrual Pain
l Kidney & Liver Function
l Weight Loss
l Skin Problems
l Circulation
l Arthritis
l Stress Relief
l Heavy Metal Intoxication
l Candida
l Insomnia

The manufacturer provides some excellent information such as medical reports from research carried out, customer testimonials and facts about toxins within our body.

How much does it cost?
It cost me £799 plus postage (£25 in my case). Delivery was less than a week.

Any on-going costs?
The array costs £120 plus delivery and lasts 20 treatments.

Why I chose the Platinum Detox as opposed to the others
I was very impressed with the medical research carried out by the manufacturers. I felt that they weren?t just in it
for the money. The machine also looked the easiest to operate. The Bio-Energy Clinic were also very helpful and knowledgeable.

Summary
This is one of the most amazingly visual therapies I have ever seen. I bought it as a piece of equipment for my complementary health clinic. Its early days yet, but my clients have all given positive feedback and most seem to have had some real and tangible results. I am looking to purchase another one in the near future.

Hi I found your review encouraging as I have purchased a model from Hydra Detox and I am a little confused about how it works. I have had 7 treatments myself and cannot see any change in the water, as in it was dark brown when I started and is still the same, so because I am scepical I ran the machine without feet in and got the same dark brown water, well this does not make sense to me, I thought it was surposed to get lighter the more you use it and only slightly discolour to a light yellow without feet. How can I explain this to my clients if the water colour does not improve. Another question I have is if the Detox can take bad substances out of you can it differentiate between good and bad? for example; can it leech vital vitamins and minerals out of the body, Calcium, etc. I would be grateful if anyone can give me more info please. However I am pleased to see the positive information about this product on this site.

I'd love one to be honest, think I'll need somewhat of a small pay rise before I can convince myself to get one though, good op.

Absolutely well worth it. That is why I am looking at purchasing another one in the near future.
