Advantages: Ermm, now that's a hard question... errr, it cleans your teeth?

Disadvantages: Everything??

I know what you're thinking; 'Hannah, you must get out more'. Well, I think so too, I must really be stuck for ideas, writing about a toothbrush for goodness sake!

The hardest thing is where should I start? So, After long consideration, I decided to tell you a bit of background to my brush...

I bought it in Good Old Wilkinsons, for the cheap price of 99p, which I would say is reasonable for a toothbrush, when most cost about £1 - £3.50 at the most, depending on the brand name and place where bought (not including electric toothbrushes). As the name states, it is made by Aquafresh, which also make toothpaste. The brush, not that it is of much interest, was made in the United Kingdom.

On the packaging of my toothbrush, as on all toothbrushes, it recommends that you change your toothbrush every three - months, I must admit that I do not really do this, I buy a new Toothbrush when I feel I need it, or when the bristles start to fade. Aquafresh also claim that you should get your dentist to tell you what size teeth you have, so that the toothbrush is more comfortable, and also better for you. Before reading the packaging, I didn't even know there was such thing as a 'tooth - size', oh well, I suppose the saying's true, you learn a new thing everyday...

Aquafresh also say that you should use Aquafresh toothbrush with your Aquafresh product, honestly - how many money making ploy's do companies have!

Anyway, that's enough about that - on to the actual brush!

My toothbrush is a dark blue colour, and there is a huge range of colours that I could have bought, not that it particually matters, although my mother always said it is best to buy bathroom products that blend in with the colour of your bathroom walls - don't worry, I don't carry out everything my mother says!

I wouldn't really say that the Aquafresh flex tip is that comfortable, it is big, therefore it sticks
out, and is hard to use.

The grippy rubber that is on the plastic of all toothbrushes, is amazingly good on the Flex - Tip. For my hands, I feel that they have got the bobbely bits that are there for extra grip is in the correct place on the brush, at the top before the long head, and also at the bottom.

The Flex - Tip isn't really all that good. For one, it doesn't bend in your mouth or hand half as much as it does on the adverts, and two, it is most annoying and hard to keep clean. I sincerley hope that I am not the only person that has ever experienced the problem of salivarry toothpast drying on their toothbrush, if not, then please ignore this comment. If you have seen a Aquafresh Flex Tip, then you will know that for the head to bend, there is plastic which is molded as curves with gaps inbetween. Even though these gaps are reinforced with rubber to help support hard brushing, i find that it is very hard to clean inbetween them after brushing your teeth. It may sound silly, but it really annoys me.

Just below the Bristles, there is a rubber ball like shape, which is designed to help the head bend into awkward corners of your mouth. Like the Flex head, this does not work at all well.

I did not really find the bristles comfortable on my teeth. They are quite hard, which is always a bad thing, but worst of all they are longer than usual. As I mentioned, this may be because of the size of my teeth, but when looking back on the packaging, it was very breif, and I could not find any numbers/letters that indicated the size of the brush, therefore it was not very helpful at all. Because of this, my teeth do not feel as clean as they usually do after I have cleaned them.

I was quite dissapointed in Aquafresh, because of the high standards that they say they set on the packaging and on the adverts.
I don't think I would really recomend an Aquafresh brush, and I would definatly never use one again purposley. I
bought a new one within a couple of weeks and I think that from now on I am likely to stick to brand names that I know well, and I know are reliable, such as Oral-B and Colgate...

Thanks For reading, I hope it helped,
Hannah :@)

I have to agree with Snizzle, how can you write so much on a toothbrush? Mind you since being on this site I have discovered that I can literally write essays on the wierdest of the things!!! Very insightful and useful!
