--AQUAFRESH ISO-ACTIVE FOAMING GEL-- It sounded a bit different, a bit innovative and I liked its funky lime green to the container. So we decided to buy it because it stood out in its modern looking steel container. You are accosted by row upon row of toothpastes when you venture into the shop to buy. You have the stores own brand. I would say "Avoid!" But that's unfair really, because I am sure that not all 'stores own' are as useless as the one that I purchased, which after using, I really didn't feel as if it had cleaned my teeth at all. Anyway, I digress ;) There are shelves with Hollywood Smiles toothpaste, cosmetic toothpaste with sparkle, ... Read the complete review

About 4 years ago, I found myself sitting in a meeting room at an Italian company who were 'big in soap' and were thinking about branching out into toothpaste. They wanted to put toothpaste into a soap pump bottle. My technical colleague and I spent the best part of an hour explaining why it was 'very interesting' (that's international English for 'a dumb idea but we're too polite to say so') but not technically feasible because the paste would dry out in the nozzle and the pipe and would block it really quickly. If that same company had been in shaving foam and had wanted to put toothpaste in a foam canister, the explanation would have been the same - toothpaste comes ... Read the complete review

Toothpaste is considered an essential purchase - but it's not essentially all the same stuff. Nowadays, there is a huge choice of paste's, gel's and powder's, all of which claim to be the best method of attaining that Hollywood smile. Gel is one of the latest inventions, and Aqafresh's 'Fresh Mint iso-active' claims to provide the triumvirate of "Healthy Gums", "Strong Teeth", and "Fresh Breath" - but just how good is it? Available in a 100ml aluminium container which costs £2.90 from Tesco, the space-age gel is transferred from the canister to the brush via a light press on the pump button on the top. The gel emerges ... Read the complete review

Isn't toothpaste boring? It's hard enough to maintain a good dental routine without having such dull, uninspiring gunk to coat your teeth in. I think toothpaste flavoured with gin and tonic would be rather nice, actually. But until Gordon's start to consider oral hygiene, I might have to make do with Aquafresh Iso-Active. Aquafresh Iso-Active toothpaste is the latest thing on the market to try and relieve the boredom of cleaning your clackers. I think it has been around for at least a year, if not two, but I'm a relatively recent convert to the brand. It works on that rather trendy new phase for all things colloidal - that is, a liquid that when you mix it ... Read the complete review

I have read a few reviews about this toothpaste and on the whole it has not proved very popular, I'm afraid I have to go against the general consensus and say I'm really happy with it. The can looks a bit like a deodorant bottle, all metally and is about ¾ of the size. Its blue and looks quite space agey compared to your normal plastic tube of toothpaste. On my first use I had a hard time getting a little out, but after it got going it was quite difficult to stop it coming out when you had enough. Because this toothpaste foams up into mega bubbles and I use an electric toothbrush I only needed a pea sized amount. You need to rinse the ... Read the complete review
