--AQUAFRESH ISO-ACTIVE FOAMING GEL--

It sounded a bit different, a bit innovative and I liked its funky lime green to the container. So we decided to buy it because it stood out in its modern looking steel container. You are accosted by row upon row of toothpastes when you venture into the shop to buy. You have the stores own brand. I would say "Avoid!" But that's unfair really, because I am sure that not all 'stores own' are as useless as the one that I purchased, which after using, I really didn't feel as if it had cleaned my teeth at all. Anyway, I digress ;) There are shelves with Hollywood Smiles toothpaste, cosmetic toothpaste with sparkle, why on earth would anyone want their teeth to sparkle as the light hits them, is beyond me; fluorides, children's flavoured toothpaste, spearmint, fresh mint, tubes, pumps and so on...

I was pleased with my purchase and even a little excited at the thought of something a little different and new to try. At the end of the day, toothpaste is toothpaste, is toothpaste. But this NEW iso-active just seemed a little bit different in its concept and supposedly very effective in removing 25% more bacteria than other brands. So I was looking forward to trying it later that evening. -


--AQUAFRESH ISO-ACTIVE--

The container for the iso-active toothpaste is in a bright blue pump dispenser with lime green colouring and a green band which runs around the base in which is written that this flavour is citrus mint. Iso-active is a fluoride toothpaste that promotes healthy gums, strong teeth, and fresh breath and it stresses this several times upon the steel canister. It also boasts that it removes 25% more bacteria than ordinary toothpaste. The way that this tooth gel works is, on contact with water the gel becomes active foam which really froths up to penetrate into difficult to reach areas of your teeth. The iso-active that I have is in the pump form of 100ml, though this can also be purchased in the smaller size tube. The pump dispenser is easy to use and well made.-


--THE ISO-ACTIVE EXPERIENCE--

When you release the first squirt of the gel you will notice that the gel is a bright lime green. An odd colour for a toothpaste which took me a while to get used to. The gel comes out in a thin stream like a worm and this amount is more than adequate for performing the brushing of your teeth. As soon as you commence to brush your teeth with the iso-active and add a little water the gel does burst into foam which fills the mouth. This is a strange experience at first but did feel really good after a while and it really felt as if it was cleaning my teeth properly and intensely and it was probably the cleanest that my teeth had ever felt.


I really like this stuff; it is a great breakthrough in the toothpaste market. The flavour of the gel takes some getting used to also as it is citrus combined with the mint and it felt odd to be tasting lemon/lime whilst brushing my teeth. The taste is very strong mint and zesty citrus. But after a few brushes using this I came to actually like its strength of taste and it really felt like it was doing its job well; After using my mouth felt so fresh and my teeth so clean. -


--DIRECTIONS--

They recommend brushing as you would with normal style toothpaste, by brushing twice daily but if using for a child under 6 to use a pea-sized amount only and watch them to make sure that none of the tooth gel is ingested! It states to keep this pressurised container out of the sunlight and do not pierce or burn the container.

--SUMMARY--

After using the iso-active gel for a few days I was totally won over. The strength and foaming quality of the gel does take some getting used to but it certainly does give your teeth an extra special brushing. I like the canister too and the lime green gel. Dental care is all important and if this gel does as it 'says on the can' then it is worth the few extra pennies to be receiving protection of up to 25% less active bacteria. This has to be the best toothpaste that I have ever used. I would highly recommend this product as an extremely effective and innovative new concept in the oral healthcare market. -
