Advantages: reasonable price, good for the whole family
Disadvantages: sometimes toothpaste gets clogged around the top of the tube
AQUAFRESH The one thing I am most proud of is my teeth. I have managed to reach the grand old age of 24 and 3/4 without a single filling! I put this down to the red, white and blue stripes that adorn my toothbrush every morning and evening. It all started when little curly didnt like cleaning her teeth because all the other toothpastes were too strong and burnt her tongue...after many attempts and watsed toothpaste tubes curly's mum stumbled across Aquafresh...hurrah!!! TASTE It has a mild and minty taste which although refreshing is not over powering. Aquafresh also do a "Mild and Minty version which has a green stripe instead of a blue one..this is great for kids as it is not too strong!) WHATS THE POINT OF THE STRIPES? The red, white and blue stripes aren't just there to be patriotic either: The red one fights plaque which helps keep your gums healthy, the blue one freshens your breath (even after a dodgy kebab with garlic sauce) and the white one prevents decay. PACKAGING & PRICE Aquafresh is made by Galaxosmithkleine and can be bought in most supermarkets and chemists. It comes in several sizes including a huge family sized 200ml which cost about 3.49 the one I usually buy the 100ml pump action tube costing about 1.99, you can also by a 100ml tube for the same price. Although I do find sometimes that the plastic seal on the pump action tubes is a bit difficult to remove especially with wet hands and sometimes toothpaste gets clogged at the top of the nozzle. Aquafresh, I believe is on 3 for 2 on Boots at the moment. OTHER PRODUCTS Aquafresh also do other toothpastes including one called MultiActive with Actizan (not sure what Actizan is mind), a "Mild and Minty" toothpaste and a range of toothbrushes all of which are reasonably priced. VERDICT All in all I beleive Aquafresh is a good family toothpaste that helps keep me smiling!!!

- 12/06/03 I know what you mean about some toothpaste's being overpoweringly strongly flavoured. |

to be honest i'm not that bothered about which toothpaste i use, (whichever one is on offer) as long as it does the job. |
