Advantages: Tastes lovely, teeth look nice
Disadvantages: Price is high for small amount
I might sound like a bit of a weirdo here, but I don't really like toothpaste. Most normal ones are much too minty and it leaves my mouth feeling a bit over run, as the flavour is too intense.
Here is where arm and hammer comes in. It's a brand of toothpaste which I've been using for a long time now. There special ingredient is baking soda, and it gives their toothpastes a very different taste. Still a little minty and very refreshing to the mouth, but much less of an onslaught to the senses.
I would continue to buy arm and hammer based on taste alone, as I find it so much nicer than your average brand of toothpaste. That's not the only reason I buy it though, it does actually clean your teeth well! As an ex-smoker and someone who eats way too much rubbish, I think my teeth are not too bad and reasonably white!
My only gripe with arm and hammer is that it's an expensive brand, however I often find brilliant offers and always stock up. I have tried all the different types of arm and hammer including the enamel care, but the one I'm currently using is this, the extra whitening. As I say my teeth are quite white, but perhaps no more so than if I were using any other brand of whitening toothpaste. I understand that staining can cause yellowing teeth but I don't drink tea, coffee or red wine, which are some of the culprits. I can't therefore comment on the effect of this toothpaste if you do have that type of staining to your teeth.
This toothpaste is £1.99 for 75ml, not a huge tube. I think I got mine on offer for 99p not so long ago and bought about 5 tubes!
Summary: Try this for a new taste sensation
