Advantages: Works well

Disadvantages: Limited colours, too expensive compared to others

When I was in Asda recently, I saw this body puff, or bath scrunchie as I call it, and decided to buy it as my old bath scrunchie was coming loose and unravelling.

The scrunchies come in plain white, or light blue. I have the blue one, but I would prefer they came in some prettier colours such as pink or purple! They come with a small cardboard tag attached to them with the Asda Essential Care symbol on it.

The scrunchie has a white, thin rope attached to it in a loop. This is useful for hanging it from the bath tap after use, which allows the remaining water to drain off into the bath and helps the scrunchie to dry. I also use it to loop around my wrist whilst I am using the scrunchie, as it allows me to keep a good hold on it.

The puff is made out of slightly wiry material which is wound quite tightly. It is not too rough but it is not soft either - it is firm enough to provide some light exfoliating when being used on the body.

I find that using a puff makes my bathtime much more economical both from a time standpoint and from a financial point of view. Using the puff is quick and easy, it means I spend less time lathering up shower gel in my hands and it allows me to spread it over my body in no time at all. The scrunchie also helps shower gel to go a lot further than when I use shower gel on its own. For example, I use Snow Fairy shower gel from Lush, and I find that without a scrunchie, a large blob will cover one arm. With a scrunchie, the lather produced will wash my entire body, so I only need one large squirt of it rather than four or five!

However there is a disadvantage to the scrunchie and that is the price. The puffs cost 98 pence each which doesn't sound like much, but I later saw ones in Wilkinson's and other places for around 30 pence, which means I could buy three times the amount!

This is a perfectly fine bath scrunchie but I wouldn't really recommend it, because it is possible to get ones for so much cheaper elsewhere, and that's why I have only given it three stars.

Summary: I won't buy it again!
