It was whilst my partner was picking up a few bits and pieces in our local Asda supermarket that he consulted his shopping list - written by yours truly of course - and saw that one item on the list was "Asda's own blue hand wash". To be fair, he followed the instructions on the list and purchased a blue-coloured hand wash that was of course an Asda's own branded product. Unfortunately, this was not the exact product that I had in mind, as I usually buy something that has 'anti-bacterial' properties or something similar, as I like to think I am preventing myself against germs whilst washing my hands. My other half however, had picked up a ... Read the complete review

I have previously reviewed another handwash in the Asda Essential Care Range, which was called Citrus Fresh. I wasn't very impressed with it but seeing as the range is so cheap I thought I would give it another chance, and bought the Fresh Blue Hand Wash. The handwash comes in a tall bottle which is see through so allows you to see how much soap you have left. It has a blue plastic push down dispenser on top and blue writing along with a picture of some hands on the front. It doesn't look particularly stylish and it's easy to see that it is a budget handwash, but it does look better than the yellow citrus version and it's not too ugly. The dispenser ... My family seem to get through bucket loads of hand wash. The fact that I actively try to encourage good hand hygiene only adds to the amount. My kids had been using a foaming hand wash to encourage them but even at the pound land price I found that due to the credit crunch I have had to find cheaper alternatives, this being one of them! The product I will now review is "Asda essential care hand wash - fresh blue with added moisturisers" The bottle is understandably simple, a plain white bottle, with a blue pump action dispenser. Even though the bottle is white, when the bottle is full the hand wash itself is blue so gives the bottle ... Read the complete review

When i first saw this product in Asda i couldnt believe how cheap it was, just 57p for a 500 ml bottle. Some of the brand names can cost four times this amount so i thought that this was really good value. The size of the bottle is quite large and lasts a long time. I wash my hands lots during the day so for a handwash to last over three weeks for me is great! The handwash comes out like a watery gel, it foams up well enough on the skin to give your hands a good clean and make them feel fresh. It doesnt leave my skin very soft so i usually use a seperate hand cream a few times a day to retain the moisture. The bottle looks great perched on the edge ... Read the complete review

I am always washing my hands, so I bought this for 69p whilst out shopping. The front is simple with clear labeling. Just says handwash, fresh blue with added moisturisers and a picture of some hands It is a lovely blue colour and the product name is fresh blue, so it fits in well. The scent is also a fresh smell. The product comes in a 500 ml bottle and is a pump action which can be closed to stop drips coming out. The product claims it "gently cleanses and helps condition hands", my hands did feel soft after using it. "Leaves skin feeling, soft and fresh" The smell of the handwash did stay on my sking ...
