I haven’t used a fake tanning lotion for years, not since I messed around with my mum’s as a kid and I contemplated getting one last summer, only to chicken out for fear of streaks and unsightly brown patches, plus I thought it would take up too much time. After asking friends to recommend fake tans, I considered trying an expensiev one such as St. Tropez or Lancaster, then I saw in my Avon Brochure, there was an offer on their own fake tan, half price, so I read up on it on dooyoo and decided to give it a go. It cost me £4 on a half price offer, though is normally £8 for 150ml and you have the choice of Medium/Light or ... Read the complete review

I haven't written about any beauty products on Dooyoo yet so thought I'd make a start. Nothing could make me beautiful, but Avon's self tanning lotion can at least give me a golden glow. Unfortunately I'll never look like a beach babe, but this does at least save me from having the dreaded white legs syndrome. I've been using self tanning products for many years now and I think I have tried just about every product on the market so I therefore feel quite qualified to write an opinion on this subject. Having used everything from Christian Dior to the good old Ambre Solaire I have to say Avon has come out top of the league. ... Read the complete review

This is the best one I have tried. It comes in 2 shades, being very fair skinned (nearly white) I have only used the Light/Medium. I use it on a sunny day, so the effects feel and look natural. I apply it with no fuss, just as I would any moisturiser, it tans without streaks, giving a light tanned natural look. It does make the bath water turn a slight yellowy shade, but it doesn`t remove it. During the sunny weather I put it on daily and it gradually builds up like a natural tan would. I get compliments on how my legs go brown...although against someone with a real dark tan I still look pale! but the colour it gives it right for pale skin. ... Read the complete review

I tried this tanning lotion a while ago, as I decided to conduct an experiment to see whether fake tan actually makes you go orange just like the over-fake-tanned people you see slathered in the stuff and wearing too much make up. I applied it to my abdomen, as that was probably the most pale part of my body. I didn't notice much change until about an hour later, and it started to look a bit bronze, and got bronzer as time went by. The tan seemed to look quite natural, but as I had expected, had just a hint of orangeness in it! I didn't mind this as long as I looked quite glowy, as it did. I couldn't see any streaks, but there was a tiny little bit of ... Read the complete review

I have never tried any other fake tanning lotions for fear of ending up with streaky bacon legs like so many of my friends have done in the past. But this year I was feeling brave and tried the Avon Bronzing lotion. It worked really well there are two shades to suit your skin and it is not all that expensive either. I got mine on a buy one get one free offer. The first time I used it I didn't have any streakyness except for on my hands so beware. Use cotton wool and use it carefully. Follow the instructions apply in a circular motion so as not to get the streaky bacon effect. Now I have used it a couple of times I have mastered it and ... Read the complete review
