Advantages: Gives a healthy and tanned effect, lasts a while, suits everyone
Disadvantages: Heavier then some Bronzers
I'm still fairly undecided about Avon as an brand, I have ordered some things, such as Moisturisers, Nail Polish and Necklaces, pretty much products I knew would work for me and would suit my skin, I've never brought any Foundations or Lip Glosses, just incase they didn't suit me or I didn't like them, I love to try on make up before I buy, to check. But flicking through the Avon book, in January, I came across Avon Bronzing Pearls, and I've never seen any bronzing product like this before, so I thought I'd take the risk, and buy it anyway. Only recently, I've actually tired it though, so I thought I'd share my experience.
The product consists of a pot, with small Bronzer pearls in, and comes with a small sponge, which you use to apply the Bronzer. The sponge is pretty soft, but it does hold the Bronzer from the pearls really well. Also the sponge is fairly large, so it makes it easier to apply, and can get a good bronze effect by only a couple of dustings of the sponge on to the desired area, therefore this product would last quite a while. But it can be difficult to apply to smaller areas, such as eyes, as the sponge is quite large, but is using a smaller brush with allow you to use your Bronzer on other, more smaller areas.
The Bronzer made my skin look, well, bronzed obviously, but a natural kind of Bronzed, in fact no one really noticed I had Bronzer on, they just thought my cheeks were naturally sun-kissed. The Bronzer seemed to blend very well with my natural skin colour (well, my foundation..) and also made my cheeks have a healthy glow and colour to them, un like some bronzers which can actually make me look orange or make my cheeks stand out a mile, because they look completely different to my skin, but Avon's Bronzed Pearls could be blended very well with my hand and also the Bronzer sponge. I personally, used Avon Bronzing Pearls with my normal make up, but made sure my make up was too strong, other wise it looks really horrible and fake, so I quickly slap of some Foundation and Lip Gloss, and I look natural and sun kissed, like I've been to Spain (I wish!)
Avon Bronzing Pearls are only available at Avon, through your local Avon person or online, and costs between 5-7 pounds, but may be cheaper as Avon have a lot of offers running and sales.
Summary: Better get the Avon book out! Well worth having

- 02/08/09 I am not an Avon fan, but I know many who are, so Avon are useful for Christmas gifts and ideas. So I do not exclude Avon entirely from my life. |
