Advantages: Kids will love it, Smells quite nice, Can often be purchased on special offer

Disadvantages: Only available from Avon, It sometimes irritates my skin

I have been scouring my bathroom shelves for products to write about that are listed on Dooyoo, as there are a couple of bath products that I want to write opinions on that are currently not listed and Dooyoo are not currently adding any new products.

Eventually I stumbled across an Avon bubble bath product that I used to use a lot before I was introduced to Lush. As I bought the product some time ago I have noticed from the current Avon booklet that the packaging has changed - however to the best of my knowledge the product remains exactly the same so I am going to submit this opinion on that basis.

The product which I am going to enlighten you about today is Avon Naturals Strawberry & Cream Dual Phase Foam Bath.

The product is currently packaged in a slightly frosted tall thin cylindrical shaped plastic bottle with a black screw top lid, despite being slightly frosted the bottle is not opaque and you are able to view the product through the bottle.

The front of the bottle has "Naturals" scrolled across the top in black lettering, beneath which there is a picture of a plump, juicy looking strawberry which is sitting in a ripple of cream and under the picture, again in black text, is the product name.

As I do not have the current bottle I cannot tell you exactly what is detailed on the reverse - however, on the reverse of the old bottle there are just basic instructions, the product size, in this case 250 ml, a list of ingredients and Avon's contact details.

The product consists of two layers, the bottom half of the bottle contains the bubble bath gel liquid, (which is more of a grapefruit pink colour than a bright strawberry red colour), above this layer is the cream layer and this is white in colour. Before using the product you have to shake the bottle well to mix the two layers together to allow the two substances to mix and the dual phase process to take place.
Once shaken, the prod

uct turns to a pale pink strawberry mousse colour.

Once you have carried out the mixing process you are ready to use the product, which you do by just adding a small amount to a running bath. As the product makes contact with the water it creates a vast amount of bubbles and begins to soften the water.

In its' concentrated form the product smells quite sweet and sickly - you can definitely identify a strawberry fragrance but it isn't a very natural fragrance. However, I am pleased to say that once the product has been mixed with water and created a bubble bath the smell is much more pleasant and less artificial. Obviously you are not going to create a 100% accurate smell but the aroma that this product emits isn't a bad imitation, although I have used better smelling strawberry based products, including bath and shower gel products which I have in the past purchased from the Boots Naturals Range.

The product does a good job of providing a luxurious bath tub full of bubbles, it softens the water, (although I didn't notice any remarkable difference to the condition of my skin), and it smells quite nice. However, if you have been spoilt like me and had the benefit of using Lush products you will probably be disappointed as this product has a long way to go before it comes close to even matching the high standard of any of the Lush products.

Admittedly I spend around £2 for a Lush bath bomb which only lasts for one bath but I do feel that my skin gets far more benefit from a Lush bath bomb than it does from this bubble bath - however obviously the bubble bath will last for a considerable amount of time and is a lot more suitable for young children than a bath bomb.

If you are just looking for a novelty fragranced bubble bath for either yourself or children then this is a good product that does the job that it is intended to do and I would have no hesitation in suggesting you give
it a try. <

br>Whilst the product did seem to soften the water I did not notice any remarkable difference to the condition of my skin. In fact the only difference I noticed is that sometimes my skin itches like mad for a couple of hours after using this product - I don't know whether I am allergic to something within the product, but I don't normally suffer with skin irritation after using bath and shower products.

A 250 ml bottle of Avon Naturals Dual Phase Strawberry and Cream Foam Bath will cost you around £2.50, however Avon frequently have the products in the Naturals range on special offer and you can often purchase it as part of a 3 for £5 deal or buy one get one free so it is worth looking out for it when it comes on offer.

As with most Avon products the product is covered by the Avon No Quibble Guarantee which means that if you try the product and don't like it for whatever reason you can return it to your Avon Representative for either an exchange or a full refund.

For more information about Avon and their products or to arrange for an Avon Representative to call on you, you can either write to Avon at Avon Cosmetics Limited, Earlstree Road, Corby, Northants, NN17 4AZ, visit the Avon website at www.avon.uk.com or telephone 0845 345 8444.
Thank you for reading.

I bath every morning before work (don't have a shower I'm afraid) and use bubble bath a lot as it softens the water and doesn't cost the earth.

Lush bath bombs and similar are lovely, but a bit of a waste for a 5 minute splash in the mornings :o)

Yes, it's annoying about the lack of new products being added, I hope they get it sorted soon.

LOL, points for that title. I've never bought anything out of here. I'm a Lush girl through and through, unfortunately my expensive habits are seriously eating into the savings I can't decide whether to buy a Les Paul or save up for a drum kit with. Poor me ;-)
