Advantages: great smell, little goes a long way
Disadvantages: none
I'm sure people usually try the perfume of a product, then try the lotions and gels afterwards. I, however done this the other way about!
Far and Away seems to have been in Avon for ages. You can buy this fragrance in perfume, shower gel and body lotion. This review is about the shower gel.
You buy this in a 200ml bottle. The bottle is a lightish gold colour. It's quite a nice shaped bottle. It is narrow-ish at the top and it widens near the middle and comes in a bit at the bottom. It has a flip style lid, which is a deeper gold. the bottle stands on it's lid. The writing on the bottle is swirly light gold lettering and it has a little picture of the Far Away symbol, which kind of looks like a ball with a tassel on it.
The gel is quite thick and you only need a little bit to make a good lather. It is heavily fragranced, but it doesn't feel too heavy when it is lathered onto your skin. The smell is kind of musky, exotic, smell of the orient. It smells a bit Jasmine-like to me as well.
If you layer this smell with the body lotion and perfume it smells great, as some of the layers smell lighter than the others.
Cost wise this is normally £3.50, which may seem expensive for a shower gel, but shower gels/body lotions are normally more expensive if they come from a fragrance. Currently in the new Avon book it is on offer for £1.75, so there is often offers to be had.
A really nice smell and a moisturising gel that scents your skin and makes it soft!
Summary: the heady scent of jasmine
