Advantages: Helps if you are a lady., Cooling, Should be good for Gang Shows.

Disadvantages: Lots of bottles., Hairs get in the way if you are male.

The things one does in the cause of Dooyoo !! This op is going to be hard, but my friend misslook has asked me to do it, so as they say on 15 to 1, let's make a start.

Well, in the beginning there was ANDREWSJK, quite a normal person really. Then there was Dooyoo. Since being here fellow members, and they know who they are, have dressed me up in all kind of different outfits such as :-
1. Shining Gold Suits.
2. Mini Skirts.
3. High heeled stiletto shoes.
4. Thongs.
5. Leather Skirts.
6. Thigh length boots.
7. Fluffy handcuffs.

Why should this happen to me I don't know, perhaps it's intended to be a rehearsal for a Boy Scout Gang Show ??

Anyway, while all this has been going on I thought that a person should look after their feet and legs, especially when wearing this wonderful gear (!!) Any references to Boy Scouts and Camp would not be relevant in my case, even though ANDREWSJKFAMILY have been members for 50 years. Also, another friend, pollee, has informed me about carpet burns, and how bad they can look on the legs.

So firstly, one should remove the hairs from one's legs. As the point of my op is to give you a cost beneficial method of looking after them I will skip over this slightly, except to say there are several options :-
1. Manual shavers
2. Electric and battery powered shavers.
3. Hair removal creams.
What did I do ? Well to be perfectly honest I don't know, because while sulking that I hadn't been invited to misslook's Ann Summers party, I decided to have a few drinks or more with the lads, and like the proverbial stag party, when I woke in the morning there they were gone !!

Anyway, as one does, bells rang in my head :- "Avon calling". The firm Lifestyle opinions of another friend, binnie, came to me, so out of nowhere appeared the Avon Footworks brochure.

I have been reliably informed that the products come in new d
esign bottles, but I wouldn't know that now would I ?? So, let's open a few and see the sparkling results.

To begin with, there is the Leg and Muscle Rub, which is £1.99 for 150ml. Now, after tottering around in high heels for a while the legs can need a bit of looking after, and the Leg and Muscle Rub containing mint and rosemary is just the job.

This could perhaps be followed up by getting the Foot Spa out, I couldn't be seen recommending a bowl of hot water to you !! Put a little Soothing Soak into the Foot Spa. The Soothing Soak costs £2.49 for 125ml, and one only needs to use a little at a time, and is a lovely shade of green, possibly giving away the menthol contents. Keep the feet in the Foot Spa for about 10 minutes and they will feel lovely and fresh afterwards.

Next, open the 75ml. Tube of Cooling Leg and Foot Gel, having given the legs a nice little dry first. For £2.49, the Cooling Leg and Foot Gel will do what it says on the label, i.e. cool, and soaks into the skin well. I'm told the blood circulation improves, but I'm an Accountant not a Doctor !! One already begins to notice the nice smells, and we've only just begun. (Who brought The Carpenters in here ??)

Now let's try some more specialised products, say this pretty Nail and Cuticle Softener in it's little tube, costing £2.99. For those of us who have previously used garden shears to cut the toe nails, having removed the feet from the bowl of hot water sitting on yesterday's Sun on the floor, put all that away,. This product used regularly will do away with rough cuticles, and soften the nails enough for the daintiest of nail scissors.

Perhaps instead of nail scissors though, one may be able to get out the Avon Footfile, a bargain at £2.99, AND double sided. Use one side for those nasty little bits of hard skin, but don't rub away too hard because one should always attempt to appear elegant. The Footfile can now
be turned over to smooth thing off. When I return to my DIY ops as Joanna Hudson has asked, I may explain the difference between the two sides of the Footfile, and various grades of sandpaper !!

Moving swiftly on, for £2.49 one gets a 75ml tube of Heel Softening Cream. I'm quite tall, so don't get to see my heels a whole lot, but I'm told the cream has removed those hardened bits of skin.

If one has been careful so far and left some skin on the feet, get out the Cinnamon Foot Balm, which costs £3.49 for a lovely little 100ml. This will get the remaining skin really moist. The feet should really be feeling good and smelling nice now.

However, let's put a bit of special talcum powder for the feet on them, as this will absorb any remaining little droplets of liquid, and keep the pleasant smells wafting around for some time to come, especially as £2.49 buys 75ml. By this time one cannot fail to have noticed that all Avon prices end with a 9. Why do they do that, couldn't they make it £2.48, or even £2.50 ?? After all, what's a penny between friends, or an Avon rep ??

The bathroom cupboard is getting a bit bare by now, just a few items to go, starting with the Hydra Stick at £2.99. Again, this mini stick does what it says on the label, Hydra(te). Don't ask me what that means, but you just roll it on and it will cool those hot little feet. For keeping those feet in that condition, there is an aerosol Foot Spray at £3.49, but mind the ozone layer please !!

Finally, there is the Revitalising Spray which costs £2.99, and again there is a lovely little plastic bottle, very handy for stuffing into little places when one wants to carry it around.

How do I know all this ?? Well my friends, as you may remember, I used to live in Northamptonshire until 4 years ago, and Avon are based in Corby there. Corby used to contain the British Steel works, but on September 22 there is to be the inaugural race
for CART cars at the Rockingham speedway, but that is another 200 m.p.h story. You may telephone Avon on 01536 401444, and do say ANDREWSJK told you to.

I hope your feet and legs are now looking as nice as mine, and you enjoyed this little stroll through the world of looking after your body. However, can I make a request to my friends out there ?? Could you dress me up in men's clothes next time, all these ladies clothes are nice, but I haven't worn a commando outfit yet !!
