Advantages: Nice looking can, easy to use, lovely long lasting scent
Disadvantages: Price if it's not on offer I mean £3.50 for a body spray?
When it comes to body sprays it's something I use rather alot of. I favour them to perfume really as I seem to spend alot of time at the gym and want to smell fresh and clean (at least when I enter!) but don't want to smell 'overdone' and like I've made too much effort just to go pump iron or I'd get totally ripped by the guys there lol.
So I get through alot of them and when my Avon book popped round for a visit a couple of weeks ago I was stuck for things to buy. I needed nothing at all and then I spotted this for £1.99 a can (on offer) I decided to try it out.
The Packaging:
Bright yellow cylinder shaped, tall can with a spray action to the top of it you simply push. It does have a nifty little feature that allows you to 'lock' the spray by slightly twisting the top of it for security too. On the front of the can in lighter yellow and white colours I'm told it is Avon 'Glow Chic' Perfumed Body Spray and there is a large picture of a star on there. Around the back of the can other information includes being told how to use it and warnings are given and in the usual Avon style this information appears to be given over and over in lots of different languages. Size is stated and contact details for Avon are given and all in all it's a nice, sleek, bright looking can!
Using It:
If this isn't on offer in the book it usually retails at £3.50 a can. To me that's rather expensive against things like Impulse and Charlie which you can pick up at most for a couple of quid a can. So is this worth it's hefty price tag?
Well actually , and I'm surprised I'm saying this actually it is worth the extra money yes! Anyone who regularly reads my Avon reviews will be aware that overall I'm not all that keen. I'm someone who loves to shop and pick my products and I follow my nose and touch when out shopping. I hate ordering stuff and not being able to see or feel it's quality and when it comes to scent I'm really very fussy! Like I say though I ordered for the sake of it but what I got I was actually delighted with (for once!!).
The spray itself goes on a bit damp. Notice though I'm not saying wet. It dries in seconds basically and you can dress immediately after using it, you get no residue on your clothes and no feeling of it on your skin at all.
Scent wise this is really lovely too. It is a well blended concoction of peony and freesia however don't go thinking this is simply a floral body spray because it isn't. Somewhere in there is some fruity notes giving it a sweetness and then you get grounded with a hint of musk. Basically it's just a really nice, none harsh smelling pretty body spray suitable for any age of female wearer and I have really sensitive skin and it doesn't irritate me one bit!
You can use this as it's intended of course, as a body spray. Me though I use it as a perfume too for a lighter touch and I've used it so often! The reason I wear it is because although the fragrance is fresh and light it fragrances my skin for a good 3-4 hours making it suitable for a quick freshen up with and the size stores well in my gym bag or handbag!
Yep £3.50 doesn't seem cheap particularly from Avon but this really is a lovely fragranced product that perks you and lifts your spirits. I really like it and will re-purchase it whenever I can get it on offer and look forward to trying other fragrances in this fabulous range!
Only available from Avon.
Summary: A lovely scent!
