Advantages: Amazing for even badly cracked hands ! Brill stuff

Disadvantages: Doesn't smell that great !

A few months ago my mom - an avid Avon fan - gave me some handcream as my hands were really chapped from the winter months! The handcream she gave me was AVons glycerine handcream!

The handcream contains both glycerine and silicone which are both known for their soothing properties! This hand cream also contains Aqua, Glyceryl Stearate, Glycerin, Cetyl Alcohol, Paraffinum, Liquidum, Dimethicone, Sucrose Cocoate, Benzyl Alcohol, Parfum, Disodium Edta, and Methylparaben, though you will have to look each one up to see what it's purpose is!

Now I usually use body shop handcream, which I have always found to be brilliant and smells lovely, whichever fraagrance you choose. But as with all fragranced products the bodyshop stuff doesn't work as well as it should. The Avon handcream doesn't smell that great compared to fragranced ones (saying that it is not a terrible smell)!

As soon as I put it on my cracked hands I could feel it tingling and sort of stinging. The stinging was that of an antispetic cream on a wound so in a way you can feel it working! My hands all of a sudden went really soft (although a tad greasy) and the cuts on them healed up all of a sudden! They straight away looked a bit red as opposed to cracked and sore! So I was immediately impressed. I then let my fiance try some before he went to work (as a landscape gardener (hard on the hands). He came back from work with only slight rough hands - he usually came back with little cuts - so we found this cream also good as a barrier cream. The cream is quite greasy but this effect doesn't last too long!

The price isn't too bad either. It is around £1.99p for a 125ml tube but I have often found this item to be part of a BOGOF offer so often it is actually £1.99p for 250mls! NOT BAD EH! another plus side to this is that you only have to use a little amount for each application (don't apply too much or you will end up dropping things all day)!

I personally would definitely recommend this handcream to men and women alike! Doesn't smell too girly so men could get away with using it too!
