The reason I decided to buy this body yoghurt from Avon, in the flavour of black cherry and nutmeg is because I have tried a few of the other flavours from the collection before now and really liked them.
I ordered this for only £2 which I think is definitely good value for money considering how nicely this treated my skin. I have quite sensitive skin as well so I really would recommend this. After just a couple of uses my skin started to feel beautifully soft, smooth and nourished. And for £2 as well, what a bargain!
This comes in a little 200ml tub. The tub is white with an image of cherries on the front. It looks quite natural, hence it is from the Naturals range at Avon. The tub has a screw cap lid which is easily taken on and off and is quite durable (just thought I would mention this as in the past other body lotions etc that I have owned have had lids that break off very easily). You can always be sure to get the good standards of quality that you expect from Avon, I should know I have tried almost everything they sell. The only thing they do that I don't like is their foundations.
This was definitely worth the money and I definitely recommend it. Oh, and I forgot to mention, this smells absolutely gorgeous, too. It smells just like cherries and the fragrance is uplifting and lasts on your skin.
Very highly recommended.
I brought this when it was on offer for 99p (normally £3 but its often on offer, Ive very rarely seen it full price) with the intention of giving it to someone as part of a pampering present. However once I looked at it I couldn't resist opening it and seeing what it smelt like. It comes in a little pot that looks just like a yoghurt pot (lucky considering its called body yoghurt lol) It even has a foil lid like on a natural yoghurt pot. The lid is a plastic screw top which again makes it look realistic.
The smell is lovely, not too overpowering or too sweet. Black Cherry and Nutmeg mmmmmm. Good enough to eat!
I use it after having a bath - along with a number of other lovely lotions and potions depending on what mood I'm in- The 'yoghurt' is white and creamy and is absorbed quickly into the skin leaving it smooth and smelling delicious.
I ended up ordering more for more friends because I thought it was too yummy to keep to myself. They loved it too
Avon sell a wonderful range called Naturals, which is made up of fruity and rather delicious body care products such as lotions, shower gels and hair care products. I am a big fan of this range, as I love a lot of the smells, so naturally I gave this Black Cherry and Nutmeg Body Yoghurt a try when it first came out.
I was a little disappointed with the packaging at first, as the plastic pot that this product comes in is a little on the thin side. I think Avon let themselves down a bit with this and should have spent the extra few pence on making the packaging a little sturdier and more durable. The screw top lid is a convenient way to access this product though, and it meant that I could be confident that the product would not be likely to leak if I knocked the pot over accidentally.
Opening it up I found the contents to be a thin, smooth body lotion that smelled very strongly of Black Cherries as expected. I have used other Black Cherry and Nutmeg Naturals products, and the scent that this product immediately gave off was very similar to the products I have previously used.
Scooping the product out was a little uncomfortable, as I had to delve into the pot and get the body yoghurt under my nails. I did not find this a pleasant experience, and I will in future make sure I always buy my body lotions in a bottle dispenser. The product is smooth and easy to apply, though I was disappointed to note that there is little difference between this body yoghurt and Avon's usual body lotions. I liked that it left my skin feeling soft and moisturised, but I could not get passed the fact that I felt like I was using the same Naturals Body Lotions that I have already tried.
This is a clearance product that has obviously proven to be unpopular with a lot of customers, as it is was discontinued after only a few months on sale. If you do not mind buying your body lotion in a tub rather than a bottle, perhaps you might want to snap it up in one of the forthcoming sales brochures at a discounted price of around £1 per tub.
I purchased this body yoghurt after trying the black cherry and nutmeg jelly wash. I adored the smell of the jelly wash so thought I'd stick to the same smell for the matching body yoghurt.
After reading the description, I was really sold on this. It looked thick, moisturising and just a good product in general.
On receiving this, I smelt it. It doesn't smell like the jelly wash AT ALL. It smells sweeter and sickly. It does pretty much smell like actual yoghurt, which we all know after a while does become quite repulsive.
It's very thick, which I'm not sure whether it's a good thing or not. But it doesn't absorb very quickly, you're going to be left feeling sticky for a while, especially if you put a lot on as i did. I used less the time after and i did still find it too much. It seems to just lie on the skin, absorbs a little but leaves a layer of stickyness.
It's a bargain item though. You do get a lot for your money, as they're always in the clearance/sale part. I wouldn't buy this again, i've used it twice and it's still in my bathroom practically full. If you've got time to wait around for it to absorb, then buy this. If you'd rather have a body lotion that absorbs quickly, then this really isn't any good.
