Advantages: smells lovely, leaves skin soft
Disadvantages: tub is a bit inconvenient, might have been better in a bottle
We've had body butter, body soufflé and now Avon bring us body yogurt. Yes, you read that right, body yogurt. Always one for a bit of novelty value, when I spotted this in the Avon catalogue I decided that it was worth a try.
~Packaging~
The body lotion (or yogurt) comes in a plastic tub. In the catalogue the picture was like the one above, however the tub I received is not quite so tall.
The tub itself is clear and you can see the pale lilac lotion through it. It has a label on the top, which has a picture of some blackberries.
I think the tub is a bit of a negative point, as when scooping it out you tend to get the cream under your nails - it may be better if it was in a bottle.
~Using it~
When you remove the lid you can immediately smell the lotion which has a lovely strong, fruity, blackberry smell with vanilla undertones. The smell is nice, the vanilla gives a bit of a subtle edge to the strong fruitiness of the blackberries.
The lotion itself is smooth (no lumps of fruit in this yogurt!) and has a bit of a strange texture. It's thick - in fact, if you shake the tub slightly it will wobble like jelly- but it is nowhere near as thick as a body butter. Then again, I would say it is too watery to be a lotion. Once you apply to the skin, you will find that it spreads out quite well, if you know what I mean. Basically, only a small amount will cover a large area of skin.
~Results~
This left my skin feeling amazingly soft and smooth. I have quite dry skin, and it can go horrible and scaly looking if I don't moisturise regularly, and using this really does keep my skin lovely and moisturised.
The 'yogurt' feels quite light on the skin, and the fruity fragrance really lasts for ages - I recently applied this before going to work, and I could smell it all through the day. The smell is subtle too - not too overpowering. I also like that this doesn't feel greasy or tacky on the skin either.
~Price~
At the moment I cannot find this product listed on the Avon website, but I think I paid about £3 for a 200ml tub.
~Conclusion~
This is a lovely product, it has a really nice fragrance that lasts all day and kept my skin feeling lovely and moisturised. I would definitely recommend giving it a try.
