I have tried many Avon products as I find the convenience of shopping from home in a catalogue very tempting and I always seem to have a new order for my Avon rep. I have enjoyed using a few of their body product while others I have hated so when I saw this on promotion I decided it was worth a shot. **The product** I like the way the product is packaged as it is just like a tub of natural yogurt you would by from the shop. The open neck of the tub means I can easily scoop the product out and there is no wastage of any of the product as I can reach every last bit unlike tube applicators. The rim of the tub can get a little clogged up as it is a screw lid and the lotion sticks in the gaps but this is easily cleaned and does not affect the opening and closing of the product. When you open the tub it smells lovely and sweet you can instantly smell the raspberry's which I love. It is an artificial smell as it does not smell very natural but I still really like it as I love sweet, fruity scents. It is not overbearingly sweet so that it becomes too sickly which is good for something that is going to lingerie on your skin. **In use** Once I opened the product I did find the consistency a little thin, not watery so that you could not apply it but as it was advertised as a yogurt I expected it to be a little thicker so I was disappointed. As you add it to your skin it instantly melts which can be messy if you have applied to much of the product it can take a while to work it into the skin. The scent of the product changes from when it is in the pot and when you put it on your skin. I do find it is much nicer once applied as it smells a little more natural once it begins to soak into your skin than when it is in the pot which I was pleased about. The sweet scent does lingerie for a few hours after you apply it which is really good as I like my body products to have longevity. You only need a small amount of the product and because the consistency is thin it is very easy to smooth over the skin. It also soaks in very well because it is not too thick the skin is able to absorb it almost instantly which is great at making for faster application. I find the yogurt to do what it is supposed to it is very moisturising and leaves my skin feeling wonderfully soft and smooth. There is no heaviness or stickiness to the product at all and once it is absorbed there is no residue left behind meaning you can forget it is there altogether but the results are still there. I do think it is more suitable for summer moisturising as although it does work a little in the winter I prefer something a little more heavily in the moisturising area. There are no visable differences to my skin after I have applied this product but to touch but by touch even the dryer areas like my knees and elbows are softer to touch. It leaves my skin silky, smooth and overall a lot better. I find this product can be used anywhere on my body and I have even used it on my feet which worked to soften them a little.I did find that the scent began to lesson each time I used the product after it had been opened which is a shame as that is one of my pet hates. I believe a product should hold its scent and quality once it has been opened but unfortunately this failed. It not only has a disappearing scent but it starts to smell sour and yucky after sitting for just a few weeks which I was highly disappointed about and ended up chucking it away. This means you do need to use the product fairly regularly just to stop the waste. **Summary** Over all I did like this yogurt and since I have purchased different variations but this scent is by far my favourite. The usual price for these yogurts is £3 for a 200ml tub but as with all Avon products I found them on offer for around £1.50. I did re purchase this product but in different variations to try and find the best scent and raspberry is by far my favourite. Avon does seem to have discontinued this product but they always seem to chop and change their products so it may become available again. You can still purchase this from eBay if you wish to try it and the prices are reasonable.
I'm a big fan of bargains so when the Avon sale booklet gets to me can't help but indulge myself to lots of cheap goodies! On one of these occasions I managed to get my hands on the raspberry scented moisturizing body yoghurt for just £1. At the time this seemed like an absolute bargain as it was reduced from around £5. The pot I received was 200ml, which may not sound like a lot but when it's actually in your hands you can appreciate that it's a very reasonable size. The lid is a screw on lid which can be a pain if you get any of the moisturiser stuck in the weaves / grooves as it crystallizes and needs to be cleaned. The texture of the body yoghurt is exactly what you would expect from a product with yoghurt in its name, Muller pots come into mind when I think of how to describe it. The consistency is thick enough for it not to instantly run and slip through your fingers but if you left the pot on its side it would spill out within a minute or so. The moisturiser isn't sticky or greasy; it just has a creamy touch to it. The scent is good enough to eat. Seriously, it smells just like raspberries in their purest form, not too sick or sweet, this product captures the freshness of raspberries and can leave you feeling as good as the product smells! When applying this product to your skin I'd recommend that you use it sparingly, just a dip from one finger will spread around a whole arm due to its thinner consistency than normal creams and lotions; a little goes a long way definitely applies to this product. If you use too much of this product then it can take a while until it's completely spread and soaked into the skin and can make your skin feel really greasy and dirty for an hour or so. The smell of the product can also go sour when applied in large quantities so it is important that you only use as little as possible. Despite all that can go wrong if you apply too much of this, when it's applied sparingly it gives you just the right amount of moisture and fresh scent. The effects of this product last a couple hours for me which would have been a bit disappointing if I paid full price, but for £1 I really couldn't complain. One tub of this moisturiser lasted me a good 3-4 months using it a couple times a week on my arms and legs after a bath.
"Smother yourself in these DELICIOUS CREAMS and you'll smell good enough to eat" I love trying out new body products which is why I love being an Avon representative so much. I've become obsessed with trying out new products and I spend most of my earnings on the products I should really be selling, not buying! One thing I recently bought from my beloved Avon was a gorgeous body yoghurt from the Naturals range, and today I am going to tell you all about it. I would just like to add that although I am an Avon rep that doesn't mean I'm biased in any way towards liking their products and you could tell this if you read some of my other reviews on Avon products, such as their foundations which I think are rubbish! This is something that I think is fantastic. When I saw this advertised in the brochure for the first time I thought it looked gorgeous and was eager to try it out. They are advertised on the brochure page with loads of water splashed around them so they look really hydrating. Next to them there is a picture of a woman with shiny, silky - smooth looking skin. It is the kind of skin all women want, including me, so I wanted to try this and see if I could get my skin to be like that. They are described in the brochure as: Light, creamy texture packed with natural nutrition to pamper your skin and leave it feeling velvety soft. The body yoghurts come in little white tubs, and look just like edible yoghurts do that you get from the supermarket. The packaging is simple but I think this is the best way it could be. On top of their white backgrounds the tubs have a label on them with pictures of fruits according to the flavour which you order them in. Each tub contains 200ml. Flavours I found these so irresistable-looking in the brochure that I just had to try one in each flavour. At least it gives me more information for my review! The flavours you can buy that are available at the moment are: Black Cherry and Nutmeg Raspberry NEW Strawberry & Guava All of the flavours smell absolutely gorgeous, and I recommend all of them. I can't choose which is my favourite as they all do smell really nice and I like each one. I wish they had more flavours though, as three isn't really that many and I think a banana one would be especially gorgeous. Maybe this is something I should get on to Avon about, what do you think? Price & Availability The normal price stated in the brochure for these body yoghurts is £3.00, meaning that the normal price per 100ml=£1.50. Already this is a bargain but to put the cherry on top of the cake (or yoghurt in this case) these are almost always on offer, in fact at the moment in Brochure 7 they are only £1.80 so I say stock up! In the current brochure which is Brochure 7 they can be found on page 164. You can order either through your representative if you have one, or buy online from the Avon website which is www.avon.com. Overall Thoughts I highly recommend these body yoghurts as I love the way they leave my skin feeling. After use my skin feels hydrated, moisturised, soft and silky smooth. It smells delicious, too. The best time to use this is after a bath or shower. Towel dry yourself and then rub this all over your body. They absorb quite quickly into your skin and you don't have to wait around for ages before it dries. Straight away your skin feels beautiful, and smells gorgeous. These body yoghurts are excellent value for money. I can't recommend them enough.
I have always suffered with dry patches on my skin especially on my legs and hips but being pregnant at the moment has made this a whole lot dryer and i am also needing to moisturise my stomach to reduce the risk of getting more stretch marks, I normally use a body lotion every day and a body butter a couple of times a week, i had never tryed body yoghurt before but after seeing this in the avon book and loving anything fruit smelling i wanted to try it. This normally retails at £3 for a 200ml pot of yoghurt so is a good sized tub for the money, It comes in a tall cylindrical white tub with a replacable lid that is easy to remove and just as easy to replace even with creamy hands after using this yoghurt. The first thing that hits you when you take the lid off is the smell it is delicious, it has a realy fruity and creamy smell to it but please restrain from eating it. The yoghurt is very thick and very greasy to the feel when you first get it out of the tub which i was a bit worried about it not absorbing into my skin quickly but as soon as you start rubbing it onto your skin it soaks streight in, not too much that your skin still feels dry but enough to be able to put clothes on in a few minutes so is great if you are in a hurry, the smell of the fruit lingers on my skin for a good few hours after use and my skin feels lovely and soft all day. This is a lovely treatment for my skin and a nice pampering for me that doesnt have to be done twice a day or every day like ordinary moisturisers as the soft smooth silky feeling on your skin lasts a good couple of days after using this. It is available in two fruits, raspberry which i have discussed above and black cherry which i will be sure to be adding to my order this month to give it a try and if it is half as nice as this one i wont be disapointed.
Of late I've been trying really hard to get touchably soft skin. I've been moisturising every day and going to a spa for a sauna, steam and a jacuzzi regularly and it's really has paid off! I'm pampered and preened and people keep saying I look glowing (though I'm skint lol). Cos of this though I'm getting through alot of body moisturisers and me, well I like the good stuff but I'm spending the money on them! However in a way I don't mind cos least it's repaying me type of thing. However if I can find nice products at a reasonable price I'm always up for giving them a whirl and when I spotted a yogurt pot looking one smelling of my favourite fruit (the mighty raspberry) I was dying to get my hands on a pot of the stuff! (This is also available in a blackberry option as well by the way!). The Packaging: It's a 200ml plastic clear pot with a clear plastic lid that simply and easily twists on/off to the top of it. Around the main of the pot there is clear film on it and on the front of that there is a picture of what appears to be yogurt and a raspberry. I'm told on the front that it is indeed Avon Naturals renewing Raspberry Moisturising Body Yogurt (and I'm told that again I assume in a foreign language) and the size is stated. Around the back of the pot I'm told a little about the product, directions for use are given, a warning is stated (again I'm told all of the above information in other languages), then ingredients are listed, the recycle symbol is displayed and finally contact details for Avon are given. When I first saw the pot I thought what a nice size and design it was. However the label slides off easily and me, well I want the label on my pot and it keeps sliding off as I'm using it. Apart from that yes it's nice enough and I like being able to see the 'yogurt' through it. Me Using It: I couldn't wait to use this so stripped and clean I was poised lying on my bed with this in my hand. In appearance this does remind me of a thick smooth yogurt. It's a very light pink colour and looks wobbly and isn't too wet and appears rather rich. Smell wise though it doesn't smell as nice I was expecting and certainly to me, not edible. Don't get me wrong it smelt vaguely of raspberries but not in the way a usual yogurt does! It smells sweet, creamy and fruity and isn't in your face in the fragrance stakes. Using it though I found to be a bit of a nightmare. I took a blob out of the tub and placed it on my skin and immediately it seemed to lose it's rather firm consistency and melt with my body temperature and go to feeling rather greasy. What made it worse was that I really had to rub it in and it took me ages (so use the less is more approach with this if you buy it!). Every-time I looked back at where I had moisturised I saw some moisturiser residue begging me to re-rub and then when I had done I felt wet and there was no way I could dress for a few minutes. When it did dry it sank into the skin well and didn't leave any residue at all. Skin was left a little bit softer though not all that much so and the light initial smell actually vanished within a few minutes completely. Verdict: A not so easy to use moisturiser and me I simply want to waft some moisturiser on and get on with my life. For me this took me too much hanging about waiting to dry and after all that didn't do all that much for my skin. It isn't terrible but it really does feel rather economy and when it comes to stuff I put my skin I want and need better from a moisturiser or it's not worth the time and effort it takes me to apply it! Only available from Avon usually priced at about £3.00 a tub but do look out for this when it's on offer (which more often than not it is) if interested!
I do feel that I deserve the occasional pampering session, so from my local Avon representative I do tend to purchase a reasonable amount of what my husband would deem crap per month! The product I will now review, in my humble opinion is not a treat item, it is an essential daily used product. The product I will now review is - "Avon naturals renewing raspberry body yoghurt" I have always had quite leathery skin, especially on my legs. The daily shaving routine that I have to follow has stripped any remaining moisture away, so I find that I have to slather a good amount of cream on to take away the itchy sensation. Now if I have to do this, and I have never been a girlie girl revelling in this sort of behaviour, I do think that a nice food smelling product is always welcomed. Before I have any silly comments about applying creams that smell of lamb roast dinners....mmmm, I think I may have found my niche in the market, I in fact mean fruit food smelling creams. I am a complete sucker for these scented creams, anything that leaves me salivating at the smell is perfect, the fact that this product is called a "body yoghurt" was the clincher! The pot is a reasonably generous size, holding 200ml of the cream. There is very little information on the pot, this is one down side to Avon products. The brief bit of information is simply the products name, brand name and the flavour, which is of course raspberry. On the back of the pot I was surprised to find a little more information, this being that this contains bio seed complex, pure raspberry extract and yoghurt powder, known to rejuvenate and soften the skin. There is finally a sentence to explain the application method and the fact that this not a food stuff, so please don't eat it!.......Buggar! The lid is a screw lid, with a very small amount of threading, this may seem a strange thing to point out, but this being the case I find it hard to screw the lid back on, especially when I have got some of the cream on my hands, making it nigh on impossible. When you first come to use it beneath the lid you should find a very secure foil lid, of course if this is missing then it should be returned to your representative immediately. When the lid is removed you will notice a nice full pot of product, there is hardly any space left within, ok, so far I'm impressed. The smell is the first thing you will notice. The smell is a nice creamy scent with only a hint of raspberry, I was initially disappointed with the scent but this develops on application giving it a much fruitier scent. I do tend to put far to much cream on and then it takes me ½ hour to rub it in, so I tentatively removed a finger full and emulsify between my hands, this is to aid the absorption as the cream will be that little bit closer to your body temperature. The cream is actually a bit thicker than I first thought, as you rub onto the skin, the cream changes colour from the blush pink that it is in the pot, through to a white colour just before it disappears, as mentioned earlier the scent of raspberries seems to intensify as you rub it in. I only needed a small amount to feel that it had made a drastic difference to my skin quality. I seem to have fewer lumpy bumpy bits, that a lifetime of shaving seem to encourage and my skin is very smooth and soft. I can apply the cream in the morning after my shower and my legs still feel soft and moisturised at night, with other creams i have used I normally have to re-apply some at tea time to take away the tight and itchy feeling that develops during the afternoon. These were bought on offer from Avon, I never tend to buy things from there at full price, they usually have an offer on them the month after! These cost me £1.50 a pot, these are also occasionally on a buy one get one free offer. The other "flavour" I bought was blackberry body yoghurt, though I do recall there being at least one other available. For more information visit - www.avon.co.uk Thanks for reading x
