I originally bought the body scrub in this scent from Avon however I liked it so much I decided to buy some more of the range and one of the items I bought was the body lotion.
The product is from Avon and therefore you can only buy it from them, you can buy it through a representative or by going directly to the website. The body lotion is generally about £1.50 but you can often pick it up on offer for around £1, I never buy anything full price from Avon as if you wait long enough everything goes on offer.
The product comes in a plastic see through bottle with a flip top lid on it, you can see the pale pink product inside the bottle and then the bottle is decorated with pictures of juicy looking strawberries. The direction a for use are on the back of the bottle and the name of the product on the front, the bottle holds 200mls and as it is see through it is easy to see if you are running low.
On opening the bottle you can really smell the lovely strawberry scent and I really love it, the smell is like strawberry milkshake and it is not at all sickly. The product is a creamy texture but is actually quite runny so it does come out of the bottle pretty easily.
The cream is easy to rub into your skin and goes quite far for a small blob, the skins is left feeling a little damp for a minute or so after use so it isn't a product which you would use in a mad dash but on a normal usage basis this isn't a problem. The lotion leaves my skin feeling soft however it isn't particularily deep mositurising and it doesn't really do much for my hands where I have contact dermatitus so very dry skin. The smell of the lotion lingers on your skin for ages and I really like suddenly getting a whiff of strawberries.
I would recommend this as a basic body lotion however if you have dry skin I would say you would need something more strongly moisturising than this.
I love strawberries, and the smell of them is fantastic, so this product was always going to be a winner.
I purchased a 200ml bottle for £1 from the catalogue in an excellent promotion. I haven't since purchased this product, (I like trying different things) but hopefully will be doing very soon.
This product, when used, not only moisturized my skin, but left a sweet and fruity fragrance, that lasted a few hours. It made me feel fresh. The lotion itself was fairly light and a small amount was easily absorbed by the skin. I mainly used this luxurious product before going out, as it felt special and left me smelling and feeling fantastic.
I also used this product as a hand cream for a while, as I loved the smell, and it did wonders for my hands, keeping them soft and battling the dry skin throughout the day.
The scent of the guava was much overshadowed by the strawberry, yet it complemented the strawberry fragrance, making it a little bit different.
This product is lush, I would definitely recommend everyone getting themselves a bottle to try!
My sister bought me a set of Avon Naturals strawberry and guava products for my birthday. It was a fragrance I had wanted to try for ages, and in fact I had only just purchased the matching strawberry and guava shower gel a week or so before.
I tested the lotion out as soon as I received it a few weeks ago, and have used it every day since. I think that goes to show how much I love this product, especially since I can sometimes be a bit lax when it comes to applying body lotions or creams.
The lotion is packaged in a slim, clear bottle, through which you can see the pink colour of the product. The label is adorned with pictures of strawberries and it tells me in curly font that this is a conditioning lotion. There is a flip top cap with a small hole through which to dispense the product, and I find this makes it easier to dispense only what's needed than if it was simply a case of pouring it out of the bottle.
The lotion itself is a baby pink colour and has a pleasant smell of strawberries. I must admit I'm not really sure what guava smells like, but this does have a tangy sort of edge to it which could possibly be the guava. Like many strawberry scented bath and body products I don't think the strawberry fragrance is 100% dead on, but I still think it's fairly close and is a closer match than the shower gel which I think has a bit of a chemical edge to it.
I found that the lotion had quite a runny consistency, which initially I wasn't too thrilled about as I usually associate thinner moisturisers with poor quality. In fact I found that the thin consistency has actually become one of the things I like best about the product.
Only a small amount is needed per use, and it rubs into the skin very easily. It absorbs quickly and leaves no stickiness which is another thing I really like, as it means no waiting around before getting dressed or worrying that my clothes will stick to me! The thin consistency makes it feel really light on the skin, and so I find myself feeling summery and fresh and never worry that this is clogging my pores up!
The scent left on the skin is very nice, fruity yet also quite subtle, although I would say it is quite a young scent, perhaps aimed more at teenagers or younger women.
I do have fairly dry skin, and so I like to keep it hydrated. I wasn't totally convinced such a runny lotion would be able to moisturise effectively, but I was wrong. It leaves my skin feeling hydrated, soft and supple whilst eliminating any dry patches of skin.
A 200ml bottle of this lotion costs £2.85 from Avon, which I think is a very good price. The naturals range is often on special offer too, so you might be able to get it for even less. It lasts a long time too. I've used mine daily for just over two weeks and there's about two thirds left so a bottle should last around 6 weeks if you use it every day, longer if not.
Overall, I'd say I began using this thinking it wouldn't be very good, but it has completely exceeded my expectations. It smells nice, it moisturises well, it doesn't cost the earth and it's not sticky. I would thoroughly recommend this and I am now looking forward to trying a few other scents from the same range.
Like most females I know i'm a bit lazy when it comes to using Body Lotion. After using all the stuff in the Shower, then drying off it just seems a bit of a hassle rubbing all this Cream into your body. I do tend to use Foot Lotion quite a lot after a Shower, but that isn't as time consuming. Now and again I have to say I like to use Body Lotion and feel good after I have used it.
This is part of the Naturals range in Avon. I think the right price for this is £3, but it can often be found on offer. The range is often as low as 99p which is when I usually stock up on items. A good price for a good enough product.
The bottle doesn't look too exciting. It is how the Dooyoo picture is. A sort of tall and kind of slim bottle The plastic is clear and you can see the light pink Lotion through the bottle. There is a wrap around sticky label round the bottle and this has a bright picture of some Strawberries on it. Looks alright, but doesn't look that expensive. This has a flip top lid which is easy to open. It is quite easy to squeeze the bottle to get some of this out, but the plastic is quite thick so not the easiest bottle i've used.
This isn't too runny a Lotion but it certainly isn't thick. It rubs in easily enough and dries quick as well. It smells nice with the gentle hint of Strawberries and the slight easrthy scent which I would assume was the Guava.
A nice Lotion that goes well with the Strawberry Shower Gel and often at a good price.
My skin often feels dry after a bath and as I ran out of my usual body lotion and did not have much money I decided to see what Avon had to offer. They usually have some pretty looking body lotions so I flicked through my book and saw this. It is from the Avon's naturals range and I have used many of the natural range and loved each one so I thought why not try somthing new?
Avon have this on offer at the moment for just 99p so really that is cheap as chips I picked mine up for £1.50 but 99p is a better offer! Even so both prices are very good considering the amount and the quality you get with this body lotion. I would even pay more if they bumped up the price I love it that much but lets not get ahead of ourselves I do have my pocket to think about.
Fair price and you can really argue with it being under one pound.
This gorgeous smelling lotion comes in a 200ml bottle with the naturals picture on the front. Easy to open cap on the top of the bottle makes it less messy. The back of the bottle gives you application instructions and the bottle is see through so the lotion is visable as you are using it, which I think helps as you can see the amout you are using.
It does smell very strawberry like but mixed with a vanilla smell and its gorgeous on the skin as the smell lasts and isnt over powering!
Squirt a small amout into the palm of your hand and smooth onto the skin, dont put it on your face its just your body. Smooth in and really blend it all over your body for the best results. I usually apply this after a bath as our skin loses oils when we get a bath/ shower anyway.
The natural feel:
The skin will feel instantly smooth after the first application and will smell very fresh and smell just like strawberrys. With this being Avons natural body lotion you feel its cheap natural and worth a try.
Its really made me feel I was using somthing natural with its natural look and smell it made me feel fresh and clean. The creamy body lotion had a lovely texture to it not to thick and not runny but just right. It went on lovely and lasted well in terms of smooth skin. I have been using it for 2 months now and I love it. Cheap and cheerful and just 99p couldnt really ask for more in one bottle. Avons naturals range I love as its really easy on your pocket and you still feel beautified not robbed!
I bought a lot of products from the 'naturals' range in the Avon brochure recently because there was a special offer on and I like the products I have bought from this range before.
One of the items I bought was the 'strawberry and guava body lotion' which is a body lotion I had not tried before. The bottle is £2.85 which seems like a good price. Because of the special offer though I only paid 99 pence.
The packaging is quite attractive looking because it is a clear plastic bottle and the body lotion is a light pink colour which you can see through the bottle. There is a label on the front of the bottle which has a nice picture of a strawberry on it so I was looking forward to using a nice fruity scented product as soon as I saw this bottle in my Avon order.
The body lotion is easy to pour from the bottle because there is a flip cap on the top of the bottle so I can squeeze a little of it out onto the palm of my hand without any problem. I thought that I did not need to use too much of the lotion because it is quite thick so a little amount spreads over a large area of my skin.
The smell of the body lotion is gorgeous. It is a fresh but fruity scent and the smell of strawberry is gorgeous. I couldn't smell the guava but this might be because the smell of the strawberry is so strong.
The body lotion made my skin feel nice and soft and this was a nice feeling because some body lotions feel too greasy on my arms and skin when I have rubbed them in. This body lotion from Avon didn't make my skin feel too greasy and it was a nice change to have a lotion which was a nice softening product.
I liked how I could smell the scent of the strawberry body lotion on my skin and this smell lasted for a few hours after I had rubbed the lotion into my skin.
The bottle lasted me for over a month so I would buy it again because I thought it lasted quite a long time so would not mind too much about paying the full price for the bottle. The size of the bottle is 200ml so it is a decent sized product but the bottle is quite slim so I think it would be a good bottle of lotion to take on my travels with me as it will fit into my case nicely because it is not too heavy or chunky.
I liked this body lotion and how it made my skin nice and soft and I will buy it again. It is a bonus to get it at a discount price but I honestly would pay full price for it because it is very nice to use.
Avon Naturals Strawberry and Guava Body Lotion
This product has become a firm Avon favourite in my household. I use it on a regular basis as does my daughter and we both have entirely different skin types. My skin is combination skin and my daughters is oily yet this product works brilliantly for the both of us.
You can find this product in any Avon book or on their website. I find this lotion tends to come up on offer fairly often I don't think I have ever paid more than £1 for this which shows what amazing value it is for a 200ml bottle as well!
Avon are a well know cosmetics and beauty brand who employ reps. The reps will then deliver a book to your home and collect a few days alter taking your order. Deliveries can take around 7-10 days and the rep will deliver straight to your front door with no delivery charge, you cant get much more convenient than that!
The packaging is very attractive and shows the lotions colour which is a baby pink colour. The instructions say it is suitable for use all over the body. I find it works best after a bath or shower as it helps to lock the moisture in to keep your skin soft. The smell is simply divine and the smell does last for quite a while after applying.
Don't waste time and money on various moisturising products - buy this one and it is the only one you will need.
One of my Christmas presents from my parents was a lovely red box tied with a ribbon and filled with a whole manner of strawberry scented toiletries. One of the products in this box was a bottle of Strawberry & Guava Conditioning Body Lotion and from the Avon Naturals range.
The body lotion comes in a relatively tall and thin 200ml shampoo see-through plastic bottle, which has a snap cap for easy application. Upon the bottle is written the information that the product is "formulated with pure strawberry and guava extracts to condition and moisturise the skin". Also printed on the back is an ingredients list and a note that the product is made in Poland. The front of the bottle has a lovely looking picture of some strawberries plus the name of the product in English and French and a small logo telling us that the lotion contains bioseed complex.
Due to the fact that the bottle is see-through it is the delicately pink and extremely creamy looking moisturiser that immediately hits our eyes whenever you look at the bottle. The lotion is extremely girly looking but then again I cannot really see any man wanting to use this anyway because of the scent. The scent itself is also rather delicate yet prominent at the same time. At this very moment I have a rather blocked nose yet I can still smell the sweet strawberries and wafts of guava when I flip the lid, which has to mean something.
The lotion itself is easily removed from the bottle, you simply tip up the bottle and squeeze slightly, not too much though otherwise you'll end up with far more lotion than you can ever possibly manage to rub into your skin. In the palm of your hand the lotion doesn't fee; exceptionally thick or creamy but once you begin to rub it in you realise how quick your skin absorbs it and how plump and immediately moisturised the skin you have applied it to feels. I often use this moisturiser just on my hands and feet before I go to bed and always find it to make them feel conditioned and cared for no matter what I have been doing.
When applying the moisturiser all over my body I find that I don't need as much as I first expect and therefore would strongly advise you to be careful with the amount of moisturiser that you squeeze out. A 10p size amount is more than enough to do an arm, a little bit more for a leg and so on. I also find it easier to apply the moisturiser to my face using my finger rather than a cotton pad or other applicator as because the lotion absorbs quickly I have found that most of it sinks into the applicator before you can rub it into your skin.
Wherever and however often I apply the moisturiser though I always feel that my skin looks and feels much better than it did before. The fact that it absorbs quickly means that you don't have to waft about in the bathroom for an age waiting for it to sink in before you can get dressed because if you start with your legs by the time you have reached your arms the lotion has already been absorbed. For me this is definitely a plus as I hate spending or as it should be called wasting time waiting for beauty products to dry.
All in all I must say that I am rather impressed by this body lotion as it does exactly what it says it will and leaves my skin feeling beautifully moisturised and ready for anything. I have also found out just recently that it is wonderful for sunburn and really helps to cool the skin and stop the irritating scratching so commonly associated with too long in the sun.
This conditioning body lotion along with most other products in the natural range, which contains scents such as apple, coconut and mango, can be purchased for around £2 from most Avon books as is often found on special offer along with other products or sometimes on it's own simply at a lower price. You can also purchase this online at "avonshop.co.uk" but please be aware that all orders will incur a delivery charge if purchased this way.
Any regular readers of my reviews will be aware by now that I work as an Avon representative when my poor health allows, mostly as a hobby, although I do love to earn a couple of pounds for my pocket at the same time!
I am a fan of many Avon products from most of their different ranges, and have been over a number of years. One Avon range in particular that appeals to me is the 'Avon Naturals' range, and I am always on the look-out for new products and special offers within this range.
One 'Naturals' product that recently caught my eye was the 'Strawberry and Guava' body lotion. I cannot honestly say how new this product is - I do remember seeing it in the past couple of brochures but before that I am unsure.
I bought the lotion when it was on a recent offer, at the cost of £1, which I felt was a really good bargain. The usual price is £2.85.
When it arrived from Avon, I was instantly impressed by the overall image of the product. The cream itself looked to be quite thick and very rich, and I liked the attractive pinkish colour. The label on the clear bottle gave me the impression that the body cream was going to be one of quite high quality. Not only that but the pictures of fruit on the bottle's label made me think instantly that this product was going to be quite fresh and enjoyable to use - I'm a sucker for fruity smelling toiletries!
Anyway, the body lotion is supplied in a clear bottle so you can see the product quite easily through the packaging. Handy I suppose if you are a fan of it and want to know when you are running out and need to re-order it from your trusty Avon Rep! That said though, a bottle of this would probably keep you going for a fair amount of time as it is 200ml in size.
The first time that I used the body lotion was following my bath the same day that I got it! What can I say lol I was keen to find out if this body lotion was on a par with many other products from the 'Naturals' range that I love so much!
After bathing and drying, I squeezed a generous amount of the body lotion into my hand and massaged it into my arms and legs. The cream went on smoothly and 'glided' over my skin quite easily. There was no excessive 'rubbing in' required as I found that it was fairly easily absorbed. Also there was no trace of a sticky-feeling to my skin after using, which is a pet peeve of mine!
I also found that the lotion was quite 'light' to use and I didn't wind up feeling like I was smearing lard over myself! I find thick, gloopy creams and lotions rather off-putting personally so this was another plus point for me.
The smell of the body lotion when I was using it was, in a word - delicious. Very fruity, though not at all sickly or over-powering. I was actually quite surprised as the scent was more subtle than I had assumed it would be. I couldn't detect too much scent of the alleged 'guava' in this product, but this was not wholeheartedly disappointing for me as I found it smelled very nice, guava or not!
The smell lasted on my skin for a reasonable amount of time, and I was still aware of the scent at bedtime that evening.
My skin on the whole felt very soft and was moisturised adequately after using the lotion. I continued to use it after my daily bath for the days that followed, and found there to be no problem in terms of my sensitive skin, or any ill-effects from using it.
The following week though, I noticed that one of the small patches of eczema on my arms had shrunk in size quite considerably! I have racked my brains and cannot think what other explanation to the sudden improvement to this could be, other than this body lotion, as it is the only 'new' addition to my body care routine. - I am not claiming that this product is a miracle cure by any means, but it is a nice surprise for me to have a product that actually helps the sore area on my arm rather than aggravate it for once!
There are other products with the 'strawberry and guava' fragrance from the Avon Naturals range, such as a room and linen spray and a shower gel. All three products are available to buy from avonshop.co.uk, or through your local Avon representative.
Overall, I would highly recommend this body lotion from Avon, and will definitely be buying it again in the future. - It gets a whopping 5 stars from me!
