Avon Outspoken by Fergie Body Lotion
Advantages: Absorbs into my skin and leaves no greasy feeling
Disadvantages: None for me
For Christmas I was bought the perfume Outspoken by Fergie, the bottle of perfume came with 2 free gifts one of which was a tube of body lotion. I didn't actually know that you could buy the Outspoken Fragrance by Fergie in the form of a body lotion as I had only ever seen the perfume for sale, but as I love the smell of this perfume I was sure that the body lotion would be just as good.
The packaging of the body lotion is designed to be in keeping with the theme of the perfume, the lotion comes in a very shiny black tube which has a black plastic flip lid on the end of it, this shuts securely by clipping it in place. On the front of the tube is a silver swirly type pattern, in the centre of this is a dark purple rectangle shape outlined in silver with the words "Outspoken by Fergie" written in the middle of it, again in silver writing, above the rectangle is a small dark purple crest. Towards the bottom of the tube are the words "Body lotion, lait parfume pour le corps" this is also written in the same silver swirly writing as the name of the lotion. That is the only information on the front of the tube but the swirly pattern really does make the appearance of the tube quite pretty to have standing out in the bedroom. The back of the bottle is a bit of a shock when you first turn it over it is totally covered in tiny silver writing which on the shiny black background of the tube isn't the easiest to read. However after closer inspection I discovered that the writing was actually one small sentence about the lotion but repeated in 13 different languages. Right at the bottom of the tube are the ingredients and volume of the tube, again all this information is written in the same small silver writing.
The body lotion is described as a combination of iced berry, floral fragrances and black leather. Personally I can detect a hint of berry in the fragrance, but I would say that the smell of the lotion is quite floral. I can also detect a musk type fragrance mixed in with it as well. The fragrance when smelt inside the tube is quite strong, however once applied to the skin it is much milder and more subtle, it is in no way overpowering once rubbed into the skin. The lotion is pure white in colour and is of a reasonably runny consistency, but not so much that it runs straight off of your skin. I applied a small amount of the lotion to my arms to start with as I do get dry skin on my elbows. I was first impressed by the fact that the body lotion was not greasy at all, as I rubbed into my skin I also noticed how quickly it was absorbed, it left my skin feeling cool, fresh and thoroughly moisturised. There was no greasy residue left on my skin, I was just left with very soft skin. The fragrance as I have mentioned was very subtle once the lotion had been absorbed, it left my skin with a fresh clean smell to it, this did stay with me for quite some time and did not fade as with some other lotions I have tried in the past.
I only needed to use a very small amount of the body lotion at a time, I found on small blob would spread over quite a large area, this means that the lotion will be very economical and long lasting, the tube I have is 150ml and I expect this will last me quite a long while. I have used the Fergie body lotion as a hand cream a few times and it has been very successful, my hands do get quite dry in the winter and after applying just a small amount of the lotion to them, they felt a lot smoother and softer. I have found this lotion to be very useful at work, as it absorbs so quickly it means that I can apply the lotion when working and carry on with what I was doing without covering everything in greasy lotion which has not absorbed into my skin. As I work in an office it is quite important to use a lotion which is not going to cover my paperwork in greasy finger prints and Fergie Outspoken body lotion is perfect for this.
My Fergie Outspoken body Lotion was a present and came as part of a set, the Fergie range is from Avon , the actual set I received which contains the perfume, body lotion and body spray was £14.00 but is currently on sale for about £8.00 for all 3 items. I did notice that the body lotion could be bought on its own from sites such as E bay and Amazon.
Overall I would definitely recommend the Fergie Outspoken body lotion, it is fast absorbing leaving you skin extremely soft and smells lovely, the fragrance is not overpowering and stays with you for quite some time. Overall it's a nice lotion.
Summary: One I would use again
