*I originally reviewed this as part of a gift set review on Ciao. It has been extracted and updated for dooyoo* ~Outspoken Body Spray~ This body spray is part of a three piece fragrance collection known as Outspoken. This collection was released by Avon and endorsed by singer Fergie. The body spray is designed to be used on the go as a way of topping up the Outspoken scent. It is presented in a slim, black and silver can and is an aerosol type spray. This body spray carries the same scent as the EDT and body lotion - 'a bold blend of iced berries, feminine tuberose absolute and daring black leather'. ~Price and Availability~ At the moment, this isn't available to purchase direct from Avon but it can be bought from eBay. Expect to pay £1.25 for a 75ml spray. ~My Thoughts~ I received this as part of a gift set that I swapped my Mum for last year. I love the scent of Outspoken and find the matching products ideal for wearing either as a base to the EDT or to top up/keep my skin scented through the day. I use body spray almost daily and alternate between a few different sprays as I get bored easily. This body spray is very sleek in design and perfect for slipping in to my handbag for a quick top up of scent throughout the day. A short push down on the spray top is sufficient to release a powerful blast of body spray which dries instantly on my skin. This spray is very gentle and I have never experienced any irritation despite having rather sensitive skin. I find that I do not need to apply much of this body spray to fully scent my body and clothing. It is quite strong. The scent of this body spray is quite powerful. There is an initial scent of berries which is quite sharp and sweet. The scent changes quickly to reveal a light, feminine and floral blend which is pleasant and not too heavy. As with the body lotion, I don't find that the leathery notes come through very strongly as they do in the EDT. I do find that after a short while on my skin, I notice a light musky aroma from this body spray but nothing too intrusive. It is actually quite pleasant and rounds the scent off well. ~Conclusion~ I don't find that any body spray lasts very well and this one is no exception. I find that the initial spray leaves my skin feeling fresh and scented but the scent starts to fade and isn't noticeable on my skin after around two hours. Applying this over the body lotion creates a longer lasting scent and of course a spray of the EDT increases the scent even further. I find this body spray to be pleasant to use as it smells really nice. It is perfect for lightly fragrancing my skin during the day and I favour wearing it with the body lotion during the day and topping up with the EDT at night. It is well priced and would suit most ladies in my opinion as it smells lovely. Thanks for reading :)
I received this free with a purchase of the perfume. I am not sure how much it is to buy individually. I would describe this fragrance as sexy and feminine. Top notes of Iced Berries and Black Pepper give it a warming feel that takes it one step above the rest. As this is quite a warming fragrance I would recommend it as a casual evening scent. The body spray goes really well with the perfume. It layers your scent leading to a longer lasting result. You can spray this anywhere and everywhere really. Please note that it's NOT a deodorant. It does NOT stop sweating but it does mask odour so I sometimes spray it onto my feet when I know that they whiff a little bit! I also spray it over roll on deodorant. This doesn't ruin the effect of the deodorant but it leaves you smelling (and feeling) fresh. You can spray it over clothes to, great for covering cigarette odour. The spray is excellent quality. The fragrance is really long lasting and I can still smell it on my body hours after use. The spray lasts ages too as you only need a quick blast of it each time that you use it. Plus the spray isn't too large in size so you can carry it around with you in your handbag. The top sometimes falls off but this isn't too much of a problem. I would recommend this spray. It smells just like the perfume and it's a lovely fresh fragrance. You don't need to spray a lot of it as it does smell quite strong initially. It's just lovely.
Any regular readers of my reviews will be aware by now that I work as an Avon representative when my poor health allows. This means that I have access to a lot of the great products that are available from the Avon company and I get to try out a lot of them at a reduced price too, given that I can use my commission from sales I have made towards the cost of my orders. I often purchase body sprays from the Avon brand as well as other brands to use as I find their 'lighter' fragrances are ideal to use during the day, rather than a heavily scented perfume although it depends of course on the occasion in question! For the most part though, I find that using a fragranced body spray in the daytime can be just enough scent for me, often preferring their more subtle tones to that of an actual perfume. I had recently tried out the "Avon 'Outspoken' by Fergie" perfume, by way of a free sample I had acquired from the company. Having really liked the scent, I felt intrigued enough to want to purchase the matching body spray in a recent Avon brochure. I paid around £3 for the tin of Outspoken body spray, which is 75ml in size. The packaging for the Avon body spray is really quite attractive, and has a very contemporary feel to it. The body spray's metal tin is a black colour, and there is a plastic lid on top of the spray nozzle at the top of the can, which is silver in colour. The design on the front of the can is a purple-coloured emblem of sorts, and there is a silver coloured swirls design on the black background of the tin. I have to admit that the product comes across as being very contemporary, and considering also that the perfume is by Fergie (of Black Eyed Peas fame) I did wonder whether my age (31) was slightly above the "market age" that this product appears to be aimed at. The spray itself is easy to use and the plastic nozzle at the top of the can is not particularly stiff, meaning very little pressure is required to actually squirt the spray from the can. It is worth mentioning too that the size of the metal spray is fairly petite, and this suits me as it fits quite neatly into my handbag. The fragrance of the Avon Outspoken body spray is really pleasant and I must confess I do like it quite a lot. The body spray, particularly when first sprayed, has a scent that is very much 'fresh' rather than being something of a more floral-based product. This initial scent then gives way to another element of the fragrance that is very feminine and quite sweet, although the fragrance does not come over as being sickly or over-powering. Once the body spray has dried on my skin, the initial fresh, fairly crisp aspect of the fragrance that had been evident when it had first been sprayed has disappeared altogether, and even though I can still smell the fragrance on my skin, it smells just like most of the other fragranced body sprays that I buy on a regular basis, and this makes me think that the product has a fairly 'generic' feel to it, which lets it down slightly. I must stress that at no point is the fragrance of the Outspoken body spray unpleasant, sickly, or over-powering, but it does not stand out to me as being something special or something different from other body sprays that I buy on a regular basis. And I thought it would, so I find this is all a bit disappointing even though I really like the smell. I find that the fragrance lasts fairly well, although as I mentioned at the start of this review, I would not use a product like this on its own for any sort of significant occasion. For general too-ing and fro-ing however, or for a 'smaller' outing such as a pub lunch with my other half for example, I find that the spray's scent is subtle enough to be worn without any other perfume, and I like that it lasts on my skin for several hours after application. I am pleased to note that there have been no ill-effects from using the spray in terms of my sensitive skin or my eczema. There is a warning on the reverse of the tin stating that the body spray should not be used on broken skin. Overall, I would half-heartedly recommend the Outspoken by Fergie body spray from Avon, as I liked using it and found the scent suited my needs. To be quite honest though, I would not go out of my way to buy it from Avon again, as I found the fragrance seemed to be nothing 'new' in terms of other scented body sprays that are available to buy on the market. I did like the scent, but found it had a slightly generic feel to it and this made the product slightly less appealing to me personally. If the product was part of a promotion or special deal, I might be inclined to buy it again but I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to do so. You can buy Avon products directly from your Avon representative, or alternatively there is a website for the company which can be found at www.avonshop.co.uk.
I had loads of smellies for Christmas and one I am particularly pleased with is Outspoken by the singer Fergie, Perfumed Body Spray. Its available exclusively from Avon either from the brochure or on line-- www.avon.co.uk I'm not 100% sure of the price because it came as part of a gift set with body cream and perfume. But most of Avon's body sprays are roughly £2 to £3. Outspoken body spray comes in a very attractive spray can. Its mainly black with a silver swirly pattern and Outspoken by Fergi written in silver writing in a purple square in the middle of it. It has a silver pull of lid and the spray button is also silver. The whole can looks feminine but not in a girly way, there's something a bit gothic about the whole design. The back of the can is full of silver writing in various languages that to be honest is very hard to read. It actually gives the directions for use and ingredients and also the usual warnings about pressurised containers. Outspoken has a strong heady fragrance. When its first sprayed though, it has a horrible chemical/alcohol smell but this fades almost immediately to leave a fresh fruity fragrance. After a while I can definitely smell jasmine, which when mingled with the fruity smell is absolutely gorgeous. Outspoken body spray, to be honest, smells as good as the perfume. Its a great spray to wear anytime, day or night. It is quite intoxicating. The downside to this body spray is that after a couple of hours its all but gone. If you want to wear this all day you will need to take it with you in your bag. I personally use it when I'm going to the gym, it means I smell good for a couple of hours while I need to. Over all I really like the smell of Outspoken, its strong , heady and femanine, however it just doesn't last which is such a shame. I had this given to me as part of a gift set, and while I can see myself continuing to use the perfume in the future I definitely wont be buying another body spray. There are better ones on the market.
A new Avon fragrance by the Black eyed Peas star fergie, aka Stacey Ann Ferguson. This bottle of Fergie's new spray Outspoken I decided to get from my avon rep as I could not afford the perume bottle at the the time. It's been advertised all over April and May issue of Avon books and I smelt the fragrance page and decided to give it a whirl. Then put in my order and recieved it a week later. Put a few sprays on and wow its a sexy smelling spray. It's a very sophisticated smell once its on the skin it has a very nice smell to it. I keep it in my hand bag and when I need a spray I pop it on its smells lovely the smell really lasts! It may smell strong when you first spray it on but once it is on it lasts for hours and I have been asked whats that nice perfume your wearing? already! This is the first fragrance the Black Eyed Peas star has brought out and I think it's good that she has teamed up with Avon as Avon get the smell to you faster and easier. The smell itself: The smell I would describe as a soft, soft musk smell and dont be worried when I say musk as its so soft you hardly smell the musk it just gives a hint of it. It has a sweet smell mixed in with the musk to give it a soft yet modren smell with a mix of wild saffron, jasmine and passionflower. I was suprised with this scent as it is so soft smelling yet it still has that sexy scent you would wear at night. The price: The Body spray I bought from avon will cost you £4.00 which is abit much for a spray but because you dont need to use much of this body spray it will last you longer. I have had mine 2 months and there is still plenty left over for me to use. The EDP perfume itself costs £28 for 100ml. Then £14.00 for the 50ml perfume but as I couldn't afford this I got the spray instead. I do think the 50ml is fair enough for £14 but I would not go as far as buying £28.00 one personally but thats just me. The Bottle: The bottle of body spray is really pretty the design has a great affect on it's purchace I believe. As it is such a mordern looking spray and with the bottle being black and the floral pattern being silver it looks elegant yet fashionable. The Out spoken logo is on the front in purple and the cap where your spray will come out is silver with also a silver bottle cap there is 75ml in this bottle. Always remember to read instructions on the back if you are unsure about using body sprays never spray onto broken skin and never spray near an open flame for yor own safety. Overall I really like Outspoken it is great for a first fragrance and I can see me buying the 50ml soon! I am not the greatest fan of hers but I thinks shes alright and it's not about the singer it's about the scent!
